Hey I’m looking to inquire rear swingarm for my 2008 Yamaha FZ 1000.

Can you use a 2 step launch control with a stock ecu

2 step is more of a 2nd rev limit you can get that with the power commander 5 if you want a pops and bang 2 step You can kinda get that with a power commander 5 and ignition module. You would have to set it up on a second map on a switch as you wouldn't want to have that in the riding tune. You will be adding fuel and retarding ignition timing for the pops and bangs so a map switch would be needed on the power commander

I live in New Jersey trying to find somebody that can tune or put a two-step on my motorcycle

What kinda of items do you have for tuning? Are you on a standalone ecu or stock ecu with power commander modules? I guess I should ask what kind of bike as well as some ecus have been unlocked to a point were extensive tuning can be done with the stock ecu. Just have to have the right software and hardware to flash it.

Well you can with a power commander v. And depending on which gen of pcv you may not need an ignition module. But with the pcv there's a launch control setup. You could setup a second map on a switch that will treated ignition and add fuel when on launch control. :)

@@wrxluis2175 just remember you might need an ignition module. Some newer pcv have the ability to adjust ignition timing but not all. And then wiring in a map switch on the pcv so you can flip between 2 step map and your riding map. Key is to retard timing and add fuel.

@@wrxluis2175 haha I appreciate that but I'm still learning. Learn something new weekly in the garage. As for ignition module power commander should make one for your bike but before you go looking. Download the power commander software onto your computer/laptop and plug the pcv in. Look through all the settings and see if yours can do ignition changes. It will save you some hard earned money if it can.
