I am a visual person who doesn't like to do anything online because storing things online would be out of sight out of mind for me. I would never remember to go there to look for anything. Especially bills that need to be paid, etc. I need my paper! That said, there are a lot of papers I do not need to keep. So this video will definitely help me deal with all of that. Thanks so much!

That is where reminder pop-ups on your phone are crucial. You can set the reminders up so they're "in your face" daily, or as often as you want, so you'll never forget those important events!

With regards to recycling vs trashing paper, keep in mind that cellophane for envelope windows does not recycle. If I really want to recycle an envelope with an address window I rip it open and pull the cellophane out then recycle just the paper envelope. I do the same with pasta boxes. Helpful video, thank you!

Another great video! I'd add a 4th pile for "Shred". We put credit card receipts in the credit card's folder until the statement is reviewed. Then they get shredded (unless we need them for warranty purposes). I believe that receipts for home improvement should be saved so that the basis of your home can be documented in the future. Still not sure what to do with weekly store ads and those magazines from Costco and AARP...

I love the idea of taking a picture and scanning it into a file! Also, I am going to try the idea with the mailbox. I go paperless with as much as I can. I keep file folders with verification of payment in my email. I've never had to print anything, but I have referred to them occasionally. Amazingly there are still offices that only have paper billing, but the majority is paperless. And I love the idea of your viewer carolynchristy about just having one file box and a list of all her passwords. I have a file cabinet, but I now have a goal to downsize. Thank you for the inspiration!

Coupons were a major source of clutter for me for years. They were piling up, always expiring. I finally just simply quit keeping them. I wasn't saving that much money anyway and I was buying junk food we didn't need. Our family's diet improved. Tossing them took a whole category of clutter out of my life. Love it! Now it's been replaced with email clutter on my phone. If I look a product up suddenly I'm swamped with email ads. I'm spending more time than I want getting rid of those. Oh well 😒

Having your personal papers in order is so important especially if you are single. I'm an old lady and have all my paper stuff in one of those Amazon hanging file boxes. Certificates, policies, documents, blah, blah, blah are kept in there for when I fall off my perch. If it's paper it's in "the box". I also keep a small notebook with essential information (account numbers, passwords, phone numbers, significant dates, etc) in the very front if I need to bug out for any reason. I clean it out about once a year. My kids tell me it's a relief to know where to go for just-in-case information.

Great video & tips. I pay all my bills on line by direct debit, so much easier than receiving bills through the post. I need to go through all my arch files/binders that have old building society statements etc, as I really don’t need anymore. Yes, please do a more in depth video on this. It would be so helpful. Every year I have a couple of binders that I put special stuff in, like greeting cards etc. I know they can be scanned but I prefer to keep the actual thing.

Paperless is a joke, I keep copies of utility bills, bank statements for 6 mos and shred them. I have tried command center method, writing my daily spending and keeping receipts in a envelope and it drove me crazy. I don’t agree with taking pics and cluttering my phone with apps. I am old school, I have a file cabinet and a shredder. We make time for what is important so creating new habits is a must or continuous clutter is the result.
