Love your videos! I’m going to be tearing into my bike to change the plugs and air filter, how hard was it to get the tank off? Do I have to remove a bunch of the front fairing like I think I’m going to?

Cheers! The tank is pretty straightforward. Same for the fairings, just take it slow and keep checking everything’s undone before you pull something too hard. There’s a few electrical connections etc that need to be released. I found taking the rad off it’s mounts and moving it forward helped when doing the plugs 👍🏻 best of luck!

On a 87 fzr1000 how to take the gas tank off without spilling gas?

If the fuel tap is set to off, and you keep it relatively level, it shouldn’t spill any. I usually lay a rag down around the tap when I first pull off the fuel line. Good luck 👍🏻

I had 89 model, Yamahas are real crusty to work on. That’s why I bought a fireblade.
