Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

Oh Theo, don’t worry! I had a full hysterectomy at age 26 from cancer. I was up and on a zodiac going down the Toku river in BC Canada a week later. I have never had an issue with it and it was a miracle for my health. I am 77 years old now so take heart Biggest hugs to you both you will be ok and most of all she will feel so much better. 💞🐝

Healing positive thoughts coming your way. Follow doctors orders, rest for as long as you need. Don’t force yourself to get well quicker. It doesn’t always work. Theo make sure you risk assess everything you try to do on your own. Don’t do anything that needs two people by yourself. Bee will not get better quicker while you’re putting yourself in harms way. You’ll see, time will fly and you’ll soon be together again❤

I watch Shaun James who is building a log cabin on his own in Canada. Self-Reliance. He uses a manual hoist to lift 800 lb logs on his own. Some are positioned more than 20 feet off the ground. He has built two homesteads, but the latest one has huge logs which he cut, milled and installed by himself. It might be a good idea to watch his technique, especially since some of your stones are so heavy.

Please 🙏 stay safe. Can you get another crew to come and help you with all the clearing out of the stone house and helping with the rebuild/ repair of it? Especially while Bee is gone! That would help you to get more done before she returns, and you wouldn't have to be alone there if something were to happen. Bloomin ekk! I'm glad this video wasn't any longer, as I was HOLDING MY BREATH!!! 🥴 As others have said, please be extra careful, especially working on your own. Make sure you have your phone on you and fully charged 🤞🏼. It's super to see more videos. Yes, it will keep your mind concentrated on the job at hand, but please not at the expense of your physical health. Give Bee our love. I went through the exact same operation in my early 40's. I would have loved being a 'real' mum, but I'm a mum to my furbies 🐕 🥰. (If Bee is able, get her to ask her surgeon about leaving one of her fallopian tubes, it will help with menopause down the line 🤞🏼🥰, as it did for me). Love to you both x x

I got a hysterectomy at 35 and it was smooth sailing, I was up and walking about the same day. 1 night in hospital and then sent home. Surgical sight pain but not much else. Tell Bea to ask them to leave her fallopian tubes unless there is a specific reason they need to come out. Bea will fly through it and be back to full health in 6 weeks. Shes a strong willed woman and she'll do awesome! Love to you both from a miserable weathered Scotland ❤

Hey Theo! I had a hysterectomy about 20 years ago. I was in hospital for 3 days. Then I went home. After a couple of days of some rest I able to be up walking. I found walking was the best thing for me. I would just do a few things and then when i got tired, I just took a quick nap. Usually hormone replacement is not started until 6 weeks after surgery when the danger of blood clots has passed. That was my experience. Anyway, a couple of weeks later, I was shocked to find out that I had dodged the ovarian cancer bullet. Bee will do good.🙂👍👍🇨🇦❤

Bee, I’ve had the same surgery done. Recovery isn’t that bad but you do need to just rest after it. Don’t rush your body, you need to let it heal from the inside out. Prayers for you and Theo.

As my foster mother says, "Get spayed; you'll feel better". I had my hysterectomy in 1999, best decision ever. Bee, don't overdo after the surgery. If you're having a full abdominal hysterectomy remember that they have cut major muscles. Hopefully they can do it vaginally or laproscopically.

I am glad you are keeping busy Theo. It's great to have a project to work on. Thanks so much for the update on Bea. In 2001 I had a complete hysterectomy because I had an ovarian tumor the size of a soccer ball. It was not cancer thank God. My life was so much better afterwards. I did go on hormone therapy for a while, but I loved that I had no more horrible mood swings and no more mess each month. I felt more centered and happy. It does take a while to heal and walking really helped. Time will fly and Bea will be home before you know it. Wishing well for both of you.
