Nice. Did you replaced timing belt also? I only have 20k from replacing timing belt, water pump and all the other stuff But the mechanic never told me about the oil pump belt, and now I'm really stressed out about it.

On the user manual for those type of engine they say the oil pump belt don’t need to be change .Maybe becouse the oil inside the lubricate belt

@@dzsemadhs1816 Maybe is better for them to replace the engine and charge you then to replace a small belt Mine în like in 1-2 k miles was done and with it the engine also So im really happy that I've replaced it Great day

​@@dzsemadhs1816 😂. The belt have 1cm. The tooth is came off after 50 70k. I know who have 0 ps pressure oil. That's not joking with ea288

Does it leak afterwards or did this repair hold up? Normally you are supposed to remove the sump

Thanks for the video, right now I'm doing the same job, but I don't feel safe adjusting the crankshaft bolt with the pneumatic gun, I know it gives torque and angle but I don't know how much, do you have that information? thank you.

Hey, I opened that center bolt with an air pressure gun, but first I put the locking pin in place and still had it on hand, then I opened that bolt.

Why remove the entire bracket vs. use a seal puller and seal driver instead? With right tools, this is a quick and easy job without the need to remove the entire assembly.

The seal is not available separately. It comes with the whole housing

That makes sense. I did a seal replacement work on US specific TDI from 2012 to 2014. All I needed was a seal and two tools - one to remove the old and the other to press in the new seal. It did not require much disassembly like you had to. Of course, this is a much different engine. Great video, thank you!

@@matty5057 hello, what you say is true, Volskwaguen does not provide the seal alone, but the Victor brand (high quality) manufactures it, at this moment I am doing a TDI 2.0 and today I will change it with the complete kit and water pump, regard. PD: I will also change the camshaft seal.
