First of all, I love tofu! I love to eat it in 🍜 or just fry it up while making sure all them sides crispy and eat it with whatever sauces I'm feeling!

I made the Lentils Shepherd pie for thanksgiving and everyone loved it. And My family aren’t vegan. This is definitely a dish anyone would enjoy 😉 thank you so much for sharing. I just made this recipe! Thank you! It's not bad for it being vegan, however, as someone who isn't vegan or a vegetarian I do think it could use a lot more flavor. Will be reworking the flavors around a bit next time.

What can you substitute for lentils? Can rice be an option?

You can do crumbled tofu, a different bean, vegan beef crumbles. I guess you could do rice if you want but it wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice!

Which kind of veggie broth do you use? Some have a really bad taste.

This video is really old I don’t remember but Pacifica, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods or better than bouillon are good

wait does the gravy need 1/4 cup flour or 2 tsp? written says the latter, video says the former

Go with the 2 tsp to start you can always add more if necessary, i made this video a while ago and can’t remember why I said 1/4 cup and then wrote 2 tsp. So start with the 2 tsp and if it’s not thickening you enough you can add in more

My tofu is only medium firm. Can I still use that for the cutlets?

You can try but that is really not the best in my opinion since it is pretty soft. However, every brand is different so it could be a bit firmer for medium firm tofu but it will definitely be softer inside than the tofu in this recipe
