Thank you again!! My progress in searching for a good scooter to “fit” what I am looking for, has lead me to three of your videos. And, and, I have appreciated each one!

I rode scooters years ago and tooling around on my son's Ruckus has lit my interest again plus I have got more years on me. You have sold me on the Like 150i. Thanks for the reviews.

I’m picking mine up tomorrow. You have some great videos that really helped me picking out a scooter. I think mine is actually the exact scooter in your video. 2019. It’s brand new at the dealership so guessing it’s been there a couple years. The guy is going to drop it off to my house. I’ve never driven a scooter but I have rode motorcycles like 15 yrs ago. I thought it would be easier getting used to it in my driveway than driving it right out into traffic. Again thanks for the videos.

I’m happy to help! I can’t wait to hear how you get on with riding again AND its name when you’ve gotten to know it better. 😎

Thank you SO much for not blasting loud psychedelic/hip-hop music at us while riding the scooter LOL! That's so hard to find in a scooter review these days. About the gas cap....they should have left the door off and just had a nicely finished recessed area around the gas cap. Sometimes these designers go overboard on what's supposed to be a simple basic vehicle.
@ScooterNewbie3 жыл бұрын
Haha! Happy to not drive ya nuts! You are so right on going design overboard. Meet the need and do it well. Simple & effective.
@awashi3 жыл бұрын
Part of it is theft deterrent even though it’s lockable. Second, it wouldn’t look finished or polished. That’s why most gas caps are hidden. Keep the scooter looking clean
@barryervin85363 жыл бұрын
@@awashi Theft control? That flimsy piece of plastic wouldn't slow a thief with a screwdriver down for 5 seconds. And who bothers to steal gas from something that only holds a gallon and a half anyway? A round hole with a flush mounted nice looking brushed aluminum gas cap would look fine and you wouldn't have to fight with the useless door every time you filled up.

So wish that scooters were more affordable. I am just about 70 now and think it would be an ideal little vehicle for folks like myself. Even used ones are prohibitively expensive.

The way I open my gas cap is I put the key in and I just turn the cap with the pop up hinge (instead of with the key) felt like I was going to snap the key the first time I did it. Works so much better and faster.

Great looking bike. Love the color. Hands down one of the best scooters out there. Gotta agree, the gas cap area looks too tight, and may be prone to spills when filling up. The up side is the extra lock will prevent anyone from siphoning your gas tank. That does seem like a major flaw with not fitting a full face helmet under the seat, or even with the security pegs. Any plans to get a top case to store your helmet? Great review. Thanks for sharing.
@ScooterNewbie3 жыл бұрын
I literally placed an order for the rack this week! He has figured out a way to MAKE it work, but I was standing around waiting for him when out & about last night. It can’t be good to force the helmet on the peg. Can’t wait to dig into your channel, and I can’t believe the infinite wisdom of KZbin hasn’t put you on deck already!!

@@ScooterNewbie Thanks. I've been enjoying showing my ride from where I live in South New Jersey to Nova Scotia Canada. I took the trip in 2019, but the pandemic has really delayed a lot of my riding and channel activity, but I'm happy to get back to things. Hope everything works out with the top case. My bike looks weird without one, and my wife doesn't feel secure riding with me unless there's some back support behind her. She doesn't rest her back on it, but it makes her feel more secure.

What i do with the fuel cap before opening with the key, i will gently pressed it down evenly on both end of the cap while unlocking it. It tight most probably due to o-ring rubber padding that somewhat give positive tightness. But will loosen up a bit but not much over the years down the road.

I think the helmet storage might be made for an asian sized head helmet, bumma and I agree with the petrol cap issue. I think the set up on the people s 150 would be better.

I first started scootering when l was 68, in VietNam, with a Jockeye. Great service, great reliability and many Honda parts fit. After 10 years l decided to get the latest. The good: Quiet, reliable, easy to attach GIVI baggage Top Box, etc. The BAD: Gas Cap & Lock - simply terrible & too complicated: Seat - concrete is softer. Simply terrible seat. Overall: l would buy again.

I like that you ride fully armored! I rode about 2 miles to my dermatologist in CA once just in a T-shirt and shorts since he was going to do a full body exam. I felt totally naked and exposed as I always ride with all my riding gear on. I never did THAT again. LOL

Bwahahaha! I had an AWFUL ride where I was lost in a bad part of town, phone had overheated in the glove compartment, on a Texas afternoon in August. I pulled over to take my jacket off. I couldn't take it. I went down the road a bit & put the dang thing back on. I was so lost & frustrated that I felt like I was an accident waiting to happen. Plus then the sun was beating down on my arms. Doh!

Where do you find parts? It seems they are hard to find. I'm in Texas and have a chance to purchase a 2014 Like 200i for a great price.
@ScooterNewbie2 жыл бұрын
That's the tough spot. You'll want to chat with a dealer first. We do get things like oil filters just fine online, but the parts conversation can be difficult. What I've heard is that eBay can be an option, as well. But without knowing the part you need, it's tough to feel good about what you can buy when you need to buy it!

I just got mine today! The first ride going home was not nervousing, but so much fun! I have to admit that I had to get use to it a bit. After riding to home, and get some dinner a little. I went back out rode around the neighborhood in a slow speed so I can get use to manuvering it. I enjoy it so freaking much! I don't know if I can sleep now since I'm still in that high state. Tomorrow I'm taking it to my insurance place to get it insured so I can start using it right away for my delivery job afterwards, and the next week maybe get it tagged up registered. I just hope I don't get stopped by the freaking law without the tag. I thought the dealership was suppose to put a temp one on it, but they didn't. I'm just so freaking excited about tomorrow. I'm going to be at the most high traffic area where all the restaurant is, and on lunch time it's going to be a challenge. I don't know if I can sleep at all. I think I will have to since I'm going to be on that scooter all day tomorrow.
