Here’s a tip that’s statistically effective against insomnia, manage your anxiety😂but if you’d like to try something, eat a large, fatty, and protein dense breakfast each morning at the same time. Then also wake up at the same time every single day, your limbic system will love you and your sleep schedule will be wonderful. Almost anxiety will also be solved with this, it’s not very common to actually have pathological anxiety. More commonly is poor diet, poor sleep schedule, and lack of direction.

There are other exercises that can help you sleep well and reduce the soreness. Weight lifts or push ups(?). 20 minutes of exercise 4 times a week is very good! It relaxes the brain and gets your oxygen flowing through your brain and body. Yup! Just 20 minutes a day! Sleep well!! 😴

In the end I had to reach a point of very great, deep, resolve within myself that I did not want to keep living that way. I was working with PhD's when I was making this change. Man...wish it were that easy. Ive been there, done that. Unfortunately I have a form of insomnia where that psudo stuff doesnt help. Walked 5 miles a day, meditation for minimum of 30 minutes a day and good days an hour. No change. 30 minutes to 4 hours of sleep a night. Some people just have a defect of creating melatonin. Whether thats an issue of the seratonin not being synthesized correctly, or the receptors just not accepting the melatonin, or BOTH.

He said “two really SIMPLE things you can do” and one of them is to get rid of anxiety?!!! Yeah, that’s super simple. Another really simple thing you can do is have great parents, have a great childhood, and never experience any trauma in your life. Really simple. Okay, have fun sleeping your nightly 8 hours now! Problem solved. You’re welcome.

Trauma can be healed and overcome...just because things were a certain way in the past, doesn't mean they have to be that way in the future. And doesn't mean you can't do things to improve it over time. Believing that recovery isn't possible is one of the most detrimental things you can do to yourself.
@tnijoo5109
@tnijoo5109 2 жыл бұрын
@@mermaidismyname 👋 hi! Thanks so much for your encouraging message. 🥰💕 It really meant a lot to me. I do believe in recovery but it’s sometimes important to be reminded. I’ve been doing a lot of trauma recovery work, more than ever before in my life, so it’s nice to get this confirmation that putting myself through it all is worth it and to quiet the doubts when they arise. Maybe that’s the biggest thing that works against us, the fear that we’ll never overcome it and it will always rule our lives. I really appreciate your positive attitude! I’m assuming you speak from experience and know how hard it is. I hope my original message didn’t come off discouraging to people. It just made me laugh when he said “simple” as of meditating when you have anxiety problems is simple. I didn’t mean to be critical of him. I actually bought his book after listening to the full interview and am a big fan of his work. I guess I’m sensitive to people acting like it’s easy. Anyways, thanks again so much for your message. I’m going to have faith and keep believing and know it’s possible!! Thank you! 💕💕💕💕💕🌸🙏🙏🙏🙏💚🌈

@@tnijoo5109 Oh my gosh this comment makes me want to cry ;-; I think I need to believe in people more. one of my biggest fears is people reacting negatively to what I have to say. I'm in training to be a public speaker and am eventually going to be giving a speech that's going to be seen by a lot of people about my trauma processing and how I came to a place of self love, in the hopes of encouraging more people towards self love and compassion. But I am still holding myself back because I am afraid I will trigger people or that people will be mad at me or misunderstand what I have to say, that people will think I'm toxically positive or that I'm invalidating people which is not my intention. But I have genuinely lost friends because of trying to give speeches before, and this one will be a lot more public, so there is a lot of fear there to work through. It does sometimes seem hard to stay positive when it feels like everyone else is being negative and I think I still have issues relating to other people or to society as a whole. There are definitely still ways I could upgrade my beliefs even though I've made a lot of progress, so it is an ongoing process I feel like. It's so easy to get frustrated at humanity as a whole sometimes, but I think humanity has a lot to offer and a lot of potential.
@tnijoo5109
@tnijoo5109 2 жыл бұрын
@@mermaidismyname I think it’s maybe the way you say things might first come off as combative or dogmatic or opinionated. To be perfectly honest, I had to read the comment twice and I think it’s only from having gone to lots of therapy that I was able to see it as positive and then came to appreciate it. Also, there was some serendipitous timing to it so for me, it was meaningful. But, at first it seemed a little out of context in response to my original comment. I was able to understand that maybe you took my original comment as a put down to even working on trauma or something more than what I intended and I could tell your heart was in the right place even if it came off initially as a little bit combative. But my original comment was more of a joke about how hard it is and that he was saying it’s simple. I think if you’re losing friends over this type of thing that you might not be respecting other people’s feelings or taking into account how different trauma is for everyone. I can understand your hesitation in giving a speech like that. I think if there’s this worry that people are going to hate you for it, there must be a reason behind that fear. If it’s a matter of learning more tact and diplomacy, maybe you can seek out a coach or find out what rubbed your friends the wrong way. Either way, I think you should ask if your former friends would be willing to give you feedback as to the specifics of how you offended them so you can learn from it and see if there’s something to repair the friendship. I think trauma is a really sensitive topic. And it’s incredibly hard hearing someone talk about how they overcame something that is wrecking your whole life and making you physically ill, if the person doesn’t understand the true difficulty involved. It can make you feel like there’s something wrong with you or no hope for someone like you or make you angry at the person offering such a simplistic solution without understanding the gravity of the problem. I’ve gone to a lot of different therapists and read a lot of books on trauma. I think the problem is there’s so many different levels of trauma and yet we just use one word. I guess it comes down to how affected we were and for how many years and what we have to do to get out of it, which requires a different approach for every person. The thing that’s nice about KZbin is that you can put your stuff out there for people who resonate with it and have been through something similar and they don’t have to finish the video if it’s not for them. A big benefit over giving a speech in public. I think it’s very wise that you’re being cautious of triggering people. And I wouldn’t think if it as holding yourself back. Anyways, it seemed like my appreciation for your comment might have encouraged you too much that I felt like I needed to be fully honest with you. I hope that’s helpful criticism to you. I’m sure you can still help people with your message of love and compassion but if you’re offending or alienating people doing it, you might want to figure out why. Good luck to you. Be well. 🦋💕🌸

@@tnijoo5109 In my case I have some sort of multiplicity going on and have a lot of headmates. When I originally tried to give a presentation to my friends in college about my knowledge of multiplicity and tried to introduce my headmates to them, I received rejection - ie I don't actually think I hurt their feelings that much, but my feelings got hurt a lot and I think that friend group fell apart after that. That was years ago. I personally wouldn't mind going back and talking to those people and trying to figure out what went wrong, but I don't actually see how I could connect with those people again, I don't think people generally like having those kinds of hard conversations and I don't know if I could get any of them to talk to me. multiplicity is itself a hard topic to talk about precisely because there's so much trauma surrounding it...I'm genuinely not sure it's possible to talk about it without triggering people in some way, but I also don't think that not talking about hard topics publicly benefits society in the long run. Most of my coaches actually seem to think I'm overthinking it, and that I need to just say what I have to say and accept that not everyone is going to like me and that I can't please everyone...somehow that seems like a cop out to me. It seems to me like a speaker's job is to limit misunderstanding and miscommunication as much as possible...but it also seems to me like misunderstanding and miscommunication might be inevitable.

I don’t agree that meditation is the answer. It always seems to be the the go to to ail anxiety, insomnia and other mental health issues. I sleep like a rock now at 51 years old. Bro, meditation doesn't help when you want it to help. I know it's confusing but you'll get there one day. Listen up Drop the alcohol Stop smoking Don't view any(!) lights 60+ minutes before hitting the bed Exercise at least 30 minutes a day (even light exercise works) Write couple of things you're grateful for in the evening. Listen to ASMR or something light like piano music Try melatonin? Separate your place of sleeping from all the other places. Don't eat 3+ hrs before bedtime Drop your cortisol levels by having a warm shower and/or a light walk. Start 16/8 fasting Get a color book and color those elephants I'm every color you can find Cuddle with your partner or a pillow Remember that you are in control of your body and not the other way around. Idk man, I'm just throwing ideas at you that have worked for me. Now, mind you, this won't work if you're a little bitch (sorry). You have to give it your all. I hope I'll hear from a well rested you in a week or two. Goodbye and good luck
