Haha, yeah that one will probably take a while. Having 1 shot at dodging Waterfowl every 2-3 mins (I’m on PS5, so no cheat engine either), means it’s gonna be a a long journey! Be worth it in the end though!

1:53 I just noticed when you slowed the footage down, there's a really easy tell for his side swipe. When he goes for it, you can see his right hand let go of the standard as he powers up the attack. He then grabs it again. At the same time, he pushes his foot forward, which is what you suggested to parry off of. It might be easier to look at his opposite hand at this attack?

i’ve been learning to parry recently (thanks to you) and commander oneil was definitely one of the easier to get the rhythm down! i took down his summons with torrent then i parried him and made him my b word. felt amazing lol. good guide nontheless!

First off great video, you make awesome content. I actually have done both tactics In my last 2 playthroughs. I completely disrespected O'Neil with a cold Nagakiba and a beast crest shield with carian retaliation on my 3rd playthrough of the game. In my most recent fight with him I killed all his goons first because I was underleveled and did not feel like eating so many attacks. Beat him with a cold uchigatana and a buckler. I guess Elden Ring really brings out my inner weeb lol. I am not exactly a parry god but for some reason I have absolutely no problems with parrying O'Neil. But let me tell ya all of your other videos were extremely helpful.

Now, the later version of this fight is even more of a pain. Granted, the tactic is largely the same I think, so I doubt it would make a whole video. Unrelated, but seeing those I frames allow you to ignore everyone makes me really wanna see some parry invasion action.

So I thought that the ghost soldiers just keep respawning infinitely if you kill them. You can just take them out?? I rode on horseback frantically like a fool dodging arrows and everything to just target the boss. If I had known this… also after I finally beat him, the dog killed Millicent when she came to gowrys shack. Fml

Fun fact I reached this guy first at lvl 160 after I killed fire Giant and two shot him.

I killed him first try by going in and out with torrent. Circle him clockwise and sprint out when your about to get hit. Ignore his minions

Can you take a look at Black knife assassin? I keep mess up with his timing attack and kinda annoy with how sometimes his circle attack pass through and make me confuse as sometime I able to parry and sometime not.

Black knife assassins are a nightmare to parry, they're so unpredictable

I actually filmed a Black Knife Assassin guide a while back but didn’t release it as I’m not convinced that parrying is the way to go with them. The speed of their movement and attacks is so out of sync with everything else in the game that fighting them for me is just a festival of panic rolling and parries that feel like 70% luck and only 30% judgement. The only thing that I actually feel is consistent is baiting the jump attack, then back stabbing them as they recover. I haven’t given up though, and plan to have a right scrap with the tough one in the evergaol at some point, and make a guide from that if I can get it consistent! Thanks for watching!

This is GREAT... If you want to make the game much harder than it is... You could kill the dude and move on 10 times before you ever learn any of these pixel-perfect parrys. Parrying is such a weak mechanic in this game.
