Very helpful video! I wanted to do 2:1 aspect ratio...so the width will remain 1920 and height will become 1920/2 = 960... I'm pretty sure I'm correct!

HI Shiny Films, Thanks for the video, Now I have a Que. Whatever we do 1. Changing the Aspect Ratio 2. LetterBox Effect, it will cut the video from Top and bottom, What if I want the whole Screen (Without cutting Top and Bottom) with Letterbox Effect or 2.35.1. Thanks

Thank you so much for everything you do. The content you produce is super helpful for all of us new creators out here. So I've been searching for quite a while and haven't come up with anything yet. I'm trying to do the Letterbox effect that will slowly transition in to place. A "Rolling", or "Creeping" letterbox transition. That can be both opening, and closing. Does that make any sense? (Peter McKinnon uses these a lot). There's a lot of tutorials out there for Premier and the other editing programs, but I can't seem to find anything for Hitfilm. 👎 Are you familiar with how to do this? Or do you already have videos explaining that transition?? If not, making one would be super helpful ;) I think it has to do with keyframing. As a new subscriber to your channel I'll go back and search through your previous content. Thanks again for everything you do...I've already learned quite a lot from your channel. Cheers mate! 🙏

I would do 1920x803 to get the 2.39:1 aspect ratio as 2.35:1 is a bit outdated.

And also when you export the video using 2.35:1 it exports as 16:9 with black bars so you have to edit the preset.

[HELP] Anyone know how to enable keyframe? I used to be able to see the keyframe after opening the layer which has it, but after uninstalling and installing Hitfilm, I cannot see the keyframe marker at all. But the keyframe function still works, I need the toogle button to know where they are, it is really frustrating. I also cannot copy paste keyframes now.

How do you do 1280 x 720p in 2.35:1?

All you have to do is divide 1280 by 2.35 and you should get the height of your video which in this case is 544.
