Super-8 cameras use a fixed prism for the viewfinder, as opposed to a shutter mechanism, so the washing out comes from light hitting the film through the eyepiece. Gotta keep your eye tight on that eyecup unless light leaks are your jam. There’s no fix for The Office pans though, those just come with the territory.

Good job on the audio from the Super 8! The water splashing and motor bike sounds are perfect. ( I did not think S8 had audio 😂 ) Next time you go to Yellowstone, try the route through Pinedale Wyoming. There’s a beautiful Aspen covered campground right on a lake, and the Supermarket has a 20 ft long fiberglass Trout on the roof .. Kinda the Wyoming version of a pink Flamingo, and very photogenic. BTW, Grand Teton Brewery is great, highly approve.

I think your SX-70 may be fine, it just needs its rollers cleaned. Also shielding your film and keeping it refrigerated will minimize the blue streaks and blue cast (along with the majority of other imperfections). And if you’re not happy about the exposure of your shots I’d recommend using the crap out of the exposure dial. I set it with pretty much every shot I take. Sick video!

What a banger of a video! Really gets you in the mood of you know what I mean. For a road trip of course. Just a small nitpick: I think the Nikon R10 is a super 8 camera, using cartridges and whatnot. 8mm film is a completely distinct format that comes on rolls and is quite a bit more cumbersome to use.

Why it overexposed ar f22 and 1/500th? Leaf shutters take longer, to reach the small diaphragm stop! So actual speed about 1/300th or more! true! Love your trips. Makes me happy with my choices! Not saying! One thing is sure, it looks like FUN! Bravo!

As a rule of thumb, SX-70 Polaroid film should be exposed 1/3 stop under for sharp results. It may vary, but generally 1/3 can give great results. Also that SX-70 film is hella expired man, you gotta try the newer “Polaroid” film over the Polaroid Originals stuff

The film project cuts down and canisters Kodak vision3 into rolls for 35mm still film. It's actually what cinestill is made from but it still has the remjet. Because if that it has to be processed in ecn2, which I'm sure you're aware of. I've really been wanting to pick up some 50d and 250d to try out as it appears to have really nice colors and contrast.
