what I would recommend after you get your vest off or compression bandaid off permanently is to stretch for like 10-15 min everyday just to make use that your shoulders and chest to seize up and be in pain for long than needed. Looks good so far!!
@CelesteM7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! What sort of stretches did you do? That sounds like a good idea but the usual ways I stretch those seem like they would put strain on the incision lines.
@UnPopularWon7 жыл бұрын
All that I did at the start was just lifting my arms untill there was a stretch not a pull. once that got a little boring and not doing much I would lay on my back on the ground (with a pillow under my head) and move my arms like i would be making a snow angel, slowly and only as far as i could go. same with put my arms over my head and letting gravity to its thing( this was later probably around 9 weeks post op.) but just something really simple. hope this helps.

Holy CRAP this looks amazing. I hope mine looks like this!! This is incredible 😳😳😳

This is ABSOLUTELY relatable! Lol I’m 2weeks post op and I thought it would be clear black and white, and there’s definitely this grey area where I don’t know what is too much.

That irritation happens sometimes when you wear the adhesive on the exact same spot for a while, if you have the possibility you should alternate the place of the tape (for example cover the irritated spot with some more gase and tape it where your skin is already ok) and put some olive/coconut...oil on the red parts (the best are oxigenated oils (?) in Spanish it's called ácidos grasos oxigenados, I don't know how to translate haha but these are very expensive). Hope it gets better from now on! (your chest looks awesome, I'm so happy for you ^^)
@CelesteM7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 💖 I have the tape in a different spot now so hopefully that will help! I'm hoping the redness will die down without the adhesive on it but if not I'll look into the oil thing!

It's looking good! How do you feel about it? :) Has it sunk it for you yet or is it still strange?
@CelesteM7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm THRILLED with it, but it still hasn't entirely sunk in. I keep looking at pictures and video of myself just in awe, like I can't believe it's really me! It's strange that it's real but having this chest doesn't feel strange at all. It feels like how it should always have been.

I didn’t have to wear a post op bandage
@neishmclean28867 жыл бұрын
Hi Celeste, thanks for sharing. It's really helpful. I'm 10 days post op with Dr. Garramone. I have a question. How long did you wear your post-surgery binding for after your post-op appointment? And did you stick to the 23 hours per day?
@CelesteM7 жыл бұрын
Do you just mean the ACE bandage? I don't think I was told specifically 23 hours a day, but I wore it all the time except when I was showering for two weeks post op as directed, then continued to wear it just at night for about two extra weeks because it made me feel more comfortable personally. But I had gotten a second one that was shorter and therefore less constricting than the one Dr. G. gave me, so that's the one I wore the last two weeks.

Yes, the ACE bandage. Thanks so much for your response! I appreciate your feedback :). Congrats on your journey. Your results are phenomenal. Dr. G is truly amazing.

The Ace Bandage is causing me some back issues so I've got the go-ahead today to take some breaks...otherwise things are well :)

Good! I hope your back issues improve as you phase out the bandage 😊

How did the seatbelt feel driving home? I feel like it would hurt
@CelesteM5 жыл бұрын
I used a seatbelt pillow that kept the shoulder strap from putting too much pressure right on my chest and that helped a lot! You can see it in a couple of my other videos.

How long till your able to work ? Drive ?
@CelesteM6 жыл бұрын
For me personally, I started working after about 3 weeks and driving around 4 weeks. I work from home on the computer so I physically could have started earlier, but I wanted to let myself heal with less stress and plus it was harder to focus for a little while. A lot of people start both of those earlier or later though, it really varies!

Celeste M thanks, but now im a little worried if im going to have to ask for a month off work?
@CelesteM6 жыл бұрын
You may not. It's something you can ask your surgeon about at your consultation (or anytime). They would know best what they recommend for you!
@gogetyourgun14907 жыл бұрын
That's unusual that your skin got irritated from the bandages. Maybe the surgery put too much stress on the body, so the skin is just sensitive for now? I hope the other tapes won't do that.
@CelesteM7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, my skin is usually pretty sensitive so I'm not TOO surprised, it was just weird that that particular adhesive seemed fine and then suddenly not. I have the new tape on now so we'll see how it does!
