2 x TVR T400R (Tuscan R) Race Cars in Action: Sound, Accelerations & Fly Bys!

The T400R (or Tuscan R) is for sure one of the many race cars from the past that I'd never imagined to record. But instead here I am sharing this video with you not about just one of these TVR but two of them (in total only seven T400Rs have ever been built). Thanks to the recent creation of those few historic championships in which old GT1, GT2 and LMP cars can again race or simply stretch their legs, many of these rare pearls are coming out of their hibernation.
The T400R was introduced in 2001 and entered in the GT class of the British GT Championship. This was used as the launchpad for TVR's project to became more popular around the globe and the Le Mans 24 Hours as a prime objective. The car was born from the success and experience derived from the Tuscan Challenge, a British TVR one-make series inaugurated in 1989. After a first ever international race start with a popular and successful run in the 2002 Suzuka 1000kms, producing a class podium, the big international step was made in 2003 when a DeWalt-livered T400R managed to obtain a 6th place in class of the Sebring 12h. Two DeWalt T400Rs took part at the 24h Le Mans race of the same year but they didn't managed to finish the race. TVR T400Rs were fielded in the N-GT class, renamed GT2 from 2005, of both British GT and FIA GT championships until 2006.
The car is powered by a 4.0-litre N/A straight-6 engine that was able to produce around 400 hp and 420 Nm of torque and a weight of 1100 kg. Watch them in action mainly around Monza Circuit and briefly at Circuit Paul Ricard during the 2019 and 2020 editions of Monza Historic by Peter Auto and during the 2019 Dix Mille Tours, fielded in the Endurance Racing Legends championship by TVR's specialists Str8six.co.uk!

My first time ever seeing this car was in ToCa Race Driver 3. I remember vividly how visceral it sounded, pretty glad Codemasters got that sound almost spot on! I hope we get more of these cars soon!

Wow,this is a very rare race car.The TVR Tuscan T400R.It's a GT class car in British GT Championship,and made a few aparitions in competitions like 24 Hours of Le Mans and 12 Hours of Sebring (ALMS).And it's last TVR race car in history* (TVR Sagaris GT3 is almost a real race car?) *I don't know much about TVR in motorsport,but this is one of last beasts in competition

You're right and I even have tons of videos about those 996s. As I probably stated in some of my previous videos from the series, I'm litterally in love with the 996 GT3 race cars but sometimes I can't hide I'd like they were not allowed in these series... When I'm focusing my attention on some other special cars, like these TVRs or the Marcos or even the Viper GTS-Rs (aiming to produce a dedicated video of them), there's always a 996 coming immediately after, covering the sound of almost every car I'm interested the most. Same thing goes for the F430 GT2/GTCs: they make me angry sometimes but I truly love them

No, I'm quite sure he isn't. He opened his channel back in 2011 when I had a mere 2,000 subscribers and horrible video quality so nobody wanted to copy my channel back in the days hehe. I think we had a similar fate when we both opened our channels. Probably no one knows that my KZbin name wasn't actually decided by me, it was a suggestion from KZbin system itself because my first two choices, Bozzy92 or SteBozzy, were already in use at that time. So KZbin offered me various alternatives such as MrBozzy92, Bozzy1992, 19Bozzy92 and others etc. You all know what I have chosen and maybe even Tommy had to make a similar choice
