Great video and find, I noticed the machine comes out of the bay a little bit when all the way at the front of its tracks. But R.I.P clear coat LOL!

Great video I feel they probably should put some thin rubber padding on the walls I really noticed now how the metal covers on the wash arms are slaming into the brick wall when they retract but I'm glad it's still up and running dose need a little work but I like the redone the paint on the gantry

Hey uhh did you notice that the entrance arch is a Stripped TOP BRUSH ya a stripped top brush. And also those Sunny’s dryers probably replaced a much much rarer drying unit Judging on the very strange arch and arm? on the back it looks like the Sunny’s dryers were just mounted on the old unit and the Original blowers were taken of the unit
@cwfeatures Жыл бұрын
It is, there used to be some random Sonny's stuff at this wash in another bay and they made the clearance arch out of their top brush

I know your not the first to film this machine but this is awesome, I think only 2 R7B's remain in the USA. Did they paint the machine blue because normal R7B's are not blue (I'm not talking about the filament brushes btw)
@carwashreviewsandmore7609 Жыл бұрын
I think they painted it because the gantry looked old.

@Car Wash Reviews And More modern designs don't clean the detail areas of the window irregularities well. A dedicated brush of that design is much more effective. You never worked at, managed, or owned a car wash, have you?

Filament is outdated. Foam and cloth are better.
@danlc95 Жыл бұрын
@NC Auto Washes - Not a chance. Foam doesn't reach into crevices, and silt sticks to it. Cloth also holds silt and sand particles. Filament is the only wash media that didn't damage the vehicle, or hold silt - and clean effectively.
@ncautowashes2889 Жыл бұрын
@@danlc95 if the foam and cloth material is properly lubricated and rinsed, there shouldn’t be an issue with contaminants getting built up on it. A lot of washes to this day use that, and it does pretty well. High pressure and proper chemistry can makeup for the hard to reach areas friction can’t achieve.
@danlc95 Жыл бұрын
@NC Auto Washes - Have you ever tried to power wash muddy fabric wheel wells? It takes a tremendous amount of water, and time to flush it out. Plus you have the added benefit of a power washer. I've been around several factory spec'd washes and all of them had muddy cloth. That means they are set up to be properly rinsed, and still have grains of sand in and on the cloth, and on the foam. The first morning I went in to my wash after I bought it, sand fell out of the nap of the cloth material, when I was inspecting it (because the brushes dried over night). Have you ever taken a car covered in road grime through a touchless? It will not get cleaned without friction. Once the grime sets into the paint it will need to be polished.

@@danlc95 Foam reaches into crevices better than filament, it also doesn’t hold onto any dirt whatsoever. Have you ever felt a filament brush on your hand? Yeah, it hurts doesn’t it? Clear coat is just as sensitive as your nerves, if it hurts it’s damaging.
