I’ve been wanting loc’s for a while and people always tell me that they would suit me but I don’t want to waste my hair products cause I know I can’t use them, any advice?
@Uniquegurl1344 жыл бұрын
Well, I still keep my hair products just in case... You never know if a family member or friend might need it. Also, certain ones you can still use if they’re oil based and some you can’t because they may be too thick for locs. Going forward, you’ll still need to use some type of product to moisturize and keep ur locs strong. You just won’t need so many.
@StephanieV54 жыл бұрын
Wynique Wright thank you but that’s me, I’m that natural with a good amount of products, since people always tell me loc’s would go with me and I’ve been thinking more about it because ( I don’t do anything with my natural hair and so much more into it ) and I’ve been thinking more about loc’s or a short cut so I’ve jut been doing more research now about loc’s to make sure when I do decide to really loc up I don’t put the wrong things in them because I know how to take care of my natural hair just not sure what would my loc hair need.
@blkeclipsel24004 жыл бұрын
@@StephanieV5 with locs there is not much maintenance or product necessary. Ms. Wright is right - you won't want to use anything too thick. Locs pretty much traps everything that comes into contact with them so you will want to use water soluble light oils to avoid buildup. Me personally I use castor oil and coconut oil to moisturize. For retwists I use aloe vera gel. Not from a jar..I extract mine straight from the plant. What you use may vary because not everyones scalp reacts the same way and everyone's hair grade is different. I understand you have already invested money into products but ask yourself would you rather have a hair style that doesnt require all that product moving forward or stay the current course and continue to shell out more money.
@blkeclipsel24004 жыл бұрын
@@StephanieV5 I'd also like to add that this is coming from a guy who has sported taper fades most of his life. I have no experience with loose natural hair , relaxers , extensions or styles so I cant Imagine how much time and money black women spend on their hair. I can only imagine there has to be a lot of time and money saved by going with locs.

@Uniquegurl1344 жыл бұрын
Yes, I mostly drink water. No soda, rarely any juice. Tea every now and then. Not so much on the vitamins, but I'm vegetarian so i try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits.
