Loc Journey Pt. 1 - 1-6 Months

This video is well overdue. Here is the first 6 months of my Loc Journey. No more wigs! I started February 2, 2018 with medium two strand twists on 4c hair! Stay tuned for Part 2 in Feb. 2019 😬.

when you calculated the "if i had started" part....i almost said girl dont upset yaself lol. i remember my mom suggesting i get locs when i was in high school, but at the time i'd said no out of fear basically. little did i know that in a few years that same style would actually become a look and process i grew to like and even want for myself specifically (enough to have started my first set 2 years ago). still, when i think about it, not feeling like i could handle the process back then is a large part of what stopped me from being roughly 7 years in now... 😐

I feel so old! I was a Junior in high school in 04-05! 😩😂 but I’ve loved locs every since then. It was the Crime Mob “Knuck if you buck”, lean wit it rock wit it, locs ATLien era. Lol. But gorgeous thick locs Queen 😍➿➰➿

Lol your whole post is me; from feeling old, to being a junior in 05 and wishing I had locs to rock out to Knuck if you Buck properly, but I was swangin that short relaxed hair though lol. Then being from the SF Bay Area, the Hyphy/Stupid era, it was the time of the dreadhead. I still can't look at one or I go weak in the knees LMAO 🤣🤣🤣

I'm only about three weeks into my semi freeform locs, but this is my second set. Loving the journey, and at almost 42, I'm much more confident than I was my first time around. Loving the videos. @@shadoraabraham1834 Idk about her particular hat, but I just wear any sort of regular hat such as a beanie which you should be able to find anywhere (forever 21 etc.). I've had them for years. Just put a satin bonnet on first and then the hat so the cotton from the hat doesn't cause breakage. You can also buy the satin lined caps from Grace Eleyae (online) but try to stretch them out some since they can be a bit too tight for locs. Or you can get a loc sock.
