I got my locs from Macon Styles after watching your videos. I got 16 inches in a size small, they are LONG! I've had them in a month and LOVE them. I had my loctician here in Philly install them and I go for my 1st re-twist next Friday. I feel like we are similar in that my hair also grows quickly...now that I'm loc'd I notice a LOT of new growth but I'm probably just doing better at retaining my length, since I do nothing other than oil my scalp lightly every week and go! I can't thank you enough for your reviews I would have never taken the leap to get loc extensions if I hadn't found you here on YT. THANK YOU!! I've enjoyed watching your loc extension journey. Can't wait to see what else you have in store!!!

I had locs for over 10 years now and in 2020 I was messing with my locs and added extensions to make them longer(me following a youtuber on here) so after everything opened back up I finally went to my stylist and she told me my hair was thinning probably from the extra weight..I told her to cut some off but when I came home I cut the rest off. Plus because I did the crochet method of attaching I couldn't tell where my own hair was and where the extensions started..so it hurt me to lose all that length ... Since the cut I combined my locs to make them thicker and started to take hair pills to help speed growth and so far it's working..My locs was at a bob length and now my locs is touching the upper part of my back so I'm happy. Extensions could be fun in the beginning but the thinning is real if you don't catch it in time. Can't wait to see what your locs look like when it's down.

I wanna get loc extensions, I work in the medical field ! How was the public reaction with you so having locs?
@wrshpgirl843 жыл бұрын
I'm in the medical field, I get complaints all the time, even when I wear my head wraps. Go for it. Locs are beautiful and we shouldn't have to be ashamed to wear them!

@@wrshpgirl84 I 100% agree it’s sad that people judge by yorur hair it’s jsut sad that this is still a thing i’m afraid to rock certain hairstyles because of what people might think or what they might complain of just sad

I am also in the medical field, doing mental health. No complaints (that I know of), I also work for the military and most black women have locs now. At the end of the day, when we stop conforming to their ways and they regularly see us and our natural state, they will have conform to ours.

I also got 100% human hair and then I made dreadlocks out of them and I dreaded my own hair and croched it together. I love my dreadlocks. I treat as if it's my own hair and I think that helps. I wash I every 3rd to 4th day with residue free clarifying shampoo and then I make my own spritzer with fresh aloe vera and green tea. I add a few drops of lavender, tea tree and jojoba oil and spray that daily on my locks until I wash it. My dreads seem to love it. My locks are 7 months old and I can feel a bit of matting happening and it's definitely softer. I do my own hair aswell it helps. I just wanted to know how long do human dreadlock extensions last do you know. I love your videos by the way and you awesome
