I stick to 5-6 week retightenings and that works well for me. I got sick and went about 8 weeks and my hair was out of control. I’m 10 months locked and am quite surprised at the difference in my hair from the beginning til now. Your hair is gorgeous. My best friend has fine/thin/soft hair and I’ve sent your videos to her as proof of how any hair type can flourish with sisterlocks. I think the cost is what’s holding her back but it is worth every penny.

Yes! I’ve done 5 weeks a well! I usually do 6 weeks! I just went Friday and it was 6 weeks and she said I had so much new growth! She was like are you sure? I did 8 weeks once and whew! It almost took me and the loctician out! Yes, the cost can be a lot but if you’re getting your hair done consistently it all adds up! Mine takes credit cards so I put my install on there and kept it moving.

Happy 2 year anniversary to your SisterLocks!!!! I remember your first loc video. I reached 2 years in March. Let’s keep trusting the process. Oh and I still 2 strand twist. and band before washing because it’s easier to wash it that way

Thank you, so much! Happy Anniversary as well to you! You’re almost at 3 in a moment! I still braid to wash my hair as well. So much easier!

My Sisterlocs install was Nov 1 2020. So I celebrated my 2 yr locaversary already with fine thin low density hair. I love ❤️ your videos and follow your progress journey since we have a very similar hair texture. Good luck your locs are flourishing and growing well.

Thank you for this. My appointment is 3/8 and my hair is so fine/low density. Over time my texture changed I had regular locs for 20 years and my hair was definitely coarser. I had major concerns due to my current texture. This helped tremendously!

I'm so glad this has helped you a lot! My hair has totally transformed. I did have thick hair when growing up but, because of my texture it definitely thinned out!

I love Costa Rica! Your hair is beautiful. Mine is coming along, and just reach 1 year. Best thing I have done for my hair. My Consultant is preparing my hair to split some of my locks in a few months. I am slightly concerned about what that will look like. Thanks for sharing Ash!

🎉🎉🎉 - I’ve been watching since day one and so glad to see your progress. I got locked on 1st Oct 2022 so coming up to 2 months. My hair is very fine and I have less than 270 locks, and at the start, I was obsessed with the number, but now I’m less so, not totally but less. My loctician made my locks slightly bigger, which is why I have fewer locks, but it’s not nearly as plucked chicken as I thought it would be. I feel more lovingly locked and every day I fall more in love with my locks. I also have Seborrheic dermatitis, which means that the itching and flaking can be insane. I’m washing my hair every two weeks, but I’m wondering if I should be washing it every week to prevent the buildup of sweat and reduce the level of flaking and itchiness, particularly when I workout… Once again, so lovely to see your progress.
@DrAshMakeup2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, so much! I only counted once because a subscriber asked me to. I wouldn’t get hung up on the number because at the end of the day all that matters is how you feel! I did gain some new Locs as the months went on on the perimeter of my hair. I started getting a lot of new hair! You should try washing once a week if the build up is too much! Also, Apple cider vinegar is very helpful for itching.

Your hair is gorgeous!!! I’ve been taking Nutrafol for a little over 2 years. I’ve recently been curious about the stress adaptogen supplements. Did you start taking both supplements at the same time or added the stress adaptogen later on?
@DrAshMakeup Жыл бұрын
Thank you, so much! I stated taking the stress supplement when I started Nutrafol. When I started looking at the vitamin it was recommended to me via the quiz they provide.

First of all love your locs, I’m currently saving up for mine. I too aspire to be a fabulous Dermatologist with sisterlocs. Lol
