Sunshine, 3D Land and 3D World were all judged for what they weren't instead of what they were. Same thing that people did with Luigi's Mansion 1 and Wind Waker to name a few. Such great games, but far too many people don't give them a second of thought

The Bubsy cameo cracked me up 😂 the original Bubsy is one of my all time favorite games :) I know it’s technically a Sonic clone but dang is it hilarious and fun. Its awesome!!!

Mario Bros 3 was revolutionary for its time. The graphics and gameplay are incredible for NES. Mario Bros 3 > Mario Galaxy > Mario World.

The sandbird is not a walk in the park, but perfectly manageable. I don't get why people complain about Sunshine being hard, but then complain about other Mario games being easy.

It's not that Sunshine is hard as such, it's just that its difficulty ranges so wildly so often. It's still a whipper.

Sorry, but innovation and influence on the industry at time of release doesn’t equate to quality in the present. Super Mario World is a great 2D platformer, but come on. No one can honestly say it has the same quality of gameplay as something like Odyssey.
