the way i choose to interpret the hate for SW:O and DA:V is like when your favorite youtuber/streamer makes a sudden and jarring adaptive dive and shifts their content into a different direction (yes they still have a core of people who are there for the creator and will stick around whatever happens) but mostly that specific streamer/youtuber who is KNOWN for a specific type/brand of content will lose a lot of the fanbase because they no longer showcase the content those people come to see -- or the creator shifts they way they choose to focus on that type of content in a way that is too jarring and possibly unacceptable to certain members of said fanbase

I also am genuinely enjoying the new Dragon Age game and I have no incentive for saying that. I just genuinely like it. I know it's crazy but different people have different tastes. Some of you live in a bubble though where you think your taste is definitive and everyone agrees with you cuz you have main character syndrome. Even though the game still has mostly positive reviews on Steam. You know the place where you actually have to play the game before you can review it. When DLC is as big or bigger than expansions like Starcraft Broodwar that are more like sequels they should count. The only difference is how the content is delivered, like Mario Galaxy 2 was basically more Mario Galaxy but it was a 60 dollar new game. Remakes like Silent Hill 2 are also valid. Personally resonated most with Nine sols, Neva and Thank Goodness You're Here I guess which all had a bunch of distinct 2d art.

I'm pretty gentle on controllers and one of my PS5 controllers has had stick drift and d-pad issues. Took it all apart and unfortunately was unsuccessful at fixing it, so I took Reddit's advice and dropped it from about 4 feet up. Worked a charm, no issues since.

I've lost 2 ps5 controllers to stick drift or triggers breaking and have yet to lose an Xbox controller since the 360 era of junk quality. Haven't lost a switch joycon to wear yet either and I've definitely put more hours into them than either my Xbx or ps5 controllers just because of release time

Scott, if I can provide some (unsolicited) feedback. As someone who has taught for 10 years, is an actor, and has coached people for years on presentation and delivery techniques, please try and vary your vocal delivery style. I promise it will help you a lot and make your videos more engaging. I think you're getting very tied into this stereotypical news reporter style, which works for the news because they typically don't speak for more than 20 seconds at a time. If you watch back your video, you'll notice the vocal inflections at the ends of your sentences are identical throughout and it makes for a very repetitive and irritating listening experience. We call it a 3, 1, 2 structure. You start the end of the sentence high, then hit a lower register, and then land in the middle or your regular speaking tone. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it through more than 10 minutes before I had to turn it off. I hope you take this as constructive, as I don't want it to come across as negative. It's my profession, so I'm hoping you'll take it as helpful.

My favourite game that I got this year was easily Veilguard, it's just a fun game with some likeable, if not particularly memorable, characters. Storywise it's not exactly peak Dragon Age, but it's got the best gameplay, and it's overall a thoroughly enjoyable game. You just gotta ignore all of the toxic incel cry babies, who can't seem to understand that theirs isn't the only viewpoint that devs cater to.

Not to be that guy but kinda confused that Star Wars Outlaws and Dragon Age The Veilguard got as high as they did and beat out who they did. Like wow...?
