After cutting back all the existing almond and carob trees, that showed survival instincts, we went shopping for baby trees in the coolest place on the island. Soon they will be integrated in to our brand new permaculture food forest.
Follow along as we transform this derelict piece of land into a mediterranean food forest!

I discovered your channel this week and I have been going through all your videos and I love what you are doing. I have spent a lot of time on Mallorca and I wish that I had found out about your work earlier! This is also a dream of mine and I appreciate all the tips you are sharing and watching what you are accomplishing is so inspiring. =)

Wow! Just WOW! Wanted to let you know this is a beautiful dream you live. Very similar to my dreams, I just realized. Goosebumps! Haha. Already got some good useful Infos out of your channel, Infos I really needed. I had one of those dreams showing me that things exist already on Mallorca! - things you mentioned - like people giving away trees and all this. Little details that might sound like nothing, really make things interesting. I have seen you starting already, literally! How good it feels, to see people actually taking action themselfes and just do it! You might not guess how super inspirational your channel already is, please keep on rockin! Feels like I will show up here from time to time, with the goal to just visit you one day to exchange ideas if you feel that`s ok. Don`t know how to say it, but know that I will follow what you do closely and sending you Love for a fruitful project! I personally hope to support you whenever I have the possibility and time to do so! What you do is beautiful!!! I know we are many out there! Don`t know if it fits, but Paulownia Kiri Kiri tree might not be a local thing, and look sexy in the first place, but consider it might be helpful to make a project going relatively fast with a return in just a few years while you don`t really need to kill the trees at the end, you just cut it and regrow. Probably huge as a healthy animal food production - as a by product, too! Always thought that`s a pretty useful sideeffect in dry climates especially! Climate on island is superior for these trees, too! Super Wood delivery for fire wood/building - if you think about it for a second... Feels like they harvest water from air, which is nice if true... I don`t know or can`t proof though! But it has certain nice Properties, this tree. It already exists on the island for sure: Last time I wanted to look for those I found a field within 2 minutes after landing. right in front of the airport. easy to spot! Might help, if not just keep on grinding, please!

Looking at the sea view made me wonder if you have checked with local fishermen and restaurants to get sources of fish scraps and other food waste to add to your compost? The more organic matter with a wide variety, the better.

I've been talking to a restaurant about using their veggie scraps and coffee grounds, but didn't have the time to organize a regular collection-system yet. Not a big fan of fish waste because of the rats...
