Robin’s death hit me super mega hard. It’s one of those “I remember where I was when” moments. I was in my room & it came on my phone that he died & I ran outside to my parents, on the pool deck and said “you won’t believe it, Robin Williams died”. Very sad because he was my #1 bonified favourite comedian, actor & entertainer. I CAN NOT watch Patch Adams or Mrs. Doubtfire without learning something new every time.

Wow, I'd forgotten about John Ritter John Belushi, my gosh. Think of how many comedians we wouldn't have if not for him. Bob Saget as Danny Tanner from Full House was a staple of my childhood. Norm MacDonald, I'm so glad I got a chance to see him in concert. And wow, Phil Hartman. That was such a tragic loss. There was nothing he couldn't do. How could I forget John Candy?! Spaceballs is one of my favorite movies ever. Robin Williams, to this day I can't watch Aladdin or Good Will Hunting without weeping. And Chris Farley was John Belush reincarnate. I’m sorry, but we all die when we die. No matter how much anybody might want Robin Williams back, I wouldn’t know what good that would do! God knew when enough had happened to Robin Williams, and I’d have many memories of Robin. It’s too bad you didn’t enjoy enough of what he did to entertain anybody before he died. It’s not that I don’t care what people say when they say they want a dead person back. I understand why those people say that, but it wouldn’t be any use bringing anyone back from the dead because what more would be worth happening to them regarding safety?

I’d put George Carlin on the list. The guy was 72, but he could have lived to 100 and it wouldn’t have been long enough. Like Bill Hicks and Lenny Bruce, he just told the truth. He didn’t BS his audience just to get a laugh. And half of their material would be banned today.

Every comic on this list is GREATLY missed by all. They all kept us all just a little happier when we were down in the pits, literally in the shits or trying to find some amount of joy from the everyday thing that is life. I also believe that if they were alive today that they'd get us back to a semblance of common sense in a world that is now divided and at each other's throats almost everyday for the most mundane of things. I personally went to Robin Williams for my joy and to reignite the "spark" in my life. Much like everyone else, i miss him and the others dearly. I have followed most of the comics on this list from the time that I was in kindergarden during the early 80s and they were all super awesome for sure. I remember John Ritter in the IT mini series and how well he was in that along with being a sadistic uncle who was a police cheif in the 4th Chucky film, The Bride of Chucky and seeing both John Ritter and Gilbert Gottfried in the 2nd Problem Child film in 1992. However, Robin Williams will always be my favorite for both drama and comedy and it is too bad that no one knew what he truly had until after his death 8yrs ago. And, Robin Harris and George Carlin should both be on this list for sure.

I find it odd that a list whose whole point centered on how young these people were nevertheless gave almost none of their ages. So, I have them here: 1. Chris Farley (33) 2. Robin Williams (63) 3. John Candy (43) 4. Phil Hartman (49) 5. Gilda Radner (42) 6. Norm MacDonald (61) 7. Bernie Mac (50) 8. Bob Saget (65) 9. Gilbert Gottfried (67) 10. Andy Kaufman (35) 11. Bill Hicks (32) 12. Mitch Hedberg (37) 13. Sam Kinison (38) 14. Freddie Prinze (22) 15. John Belushi (33) 16. Lenny Bruce (40) 17. Ralphie May (45) 18. Madeline Kahn (57) 19. Patrice O'Neal (41) 20. John Ritter (54) I would also add that this list would definitely have been improved with the inclusion of Monty Python great Graham Chapman, who died of throat cancer at age 48.

I found by just random circumstances, Patrice O'Neol. He was at his best, live on the radio. I happened to find Opie & Anthony in a market that usually don't do risky shows. I immediately knew I was in a special place at a special time. I heard him and realized he was special and made me laugh when my life was such that all I did was cry. I credit O'Neil and Rich Vos and O & A for me breaking out of that funk and by extension saved my life. I still to this day find old shit and listen and it's just as good now as it was then. I still get jokes I didn't get then. Thank for this list. It really hit home.
