Random, but I am a "Carter" Baby, born in 78. I have a small collection of books about or by Carter. My favorite is a coffee table book titled: The Craftsmanship of Jimmy Carter. I found it in a thrift shop.

When I was a little kid and Jimmy was President, I didn’t pay attention to politics. I just heard what he said and I loved his honesty so I thought of him as grandpa President. Later on, I came to respect him for his ongoing, unshakable commitment to humanitarianism. That he was helping to build houses in his 90s was inspirational. You’re killing me with the custard owl lamp. It’s my dream Fenton piece but I’m trying to save for the Portland show. What a quandary. 🦉 🦉 🦉 ❤❤❤ George, why are you bouncing? My mother in law grew up in the Jim Crow South , but always said the Carter family were well respected and people who worked their farms and stores were treated well. She voted for the first time in the Carter election , as did her son my husband , and I , a interracial couple which was more unusual back then than now . President Carter built beautiful furniture too .

Memory ... My grandmother flew from Michigan to California on one of the first flights transporting customers ... It was a prop plane and she bought a beautiful suit and hat with gloves ... I still have the custom made silver suit ... She had matching luggage that I think we have some of Samsonite That was the early 60s lol I'm old

Who is the commissioner on the ball? I love the Ted Williams story. I wrote a splatterpunk story once about a battle between the ghost of Babe Ruth, Bucky Dent and Derek Jeter battling the frozen head of Ted Williams after the curse was broken. It was in some wacky splatterpunk anthology.

I worked for a psychiatrist for years and we did get lots of little gifts. The reps would bring us lunch, too. The doctor finally said *no* to all of that. Who knew they would be worth money? Certainly not me, who gave them away or threw them in the trash.

Again: many many many resellers pass over paper ephemera like that flight packet you showed at the beginning . Why bother with a breakable FENTON piece that is probably VERY common - when you can store and sell a small , slim paper item for the same price ? In fact , I'll bet that airline folio would sell FASTER than a Fenton Hobnail piece of gibberish that can be found ANYWHERE . 6:34 LOL. I do NOT think there is copyright on MOZART music ! It's not like the Beatles or Bob Dylan. LOL
