So good to hear such positivism compared to so many other Uber videos. Thanks for that Proff. If all goes well I'll be picking up my first ride by the end of this week.

Thank You so much for being on KZbin Rideshare Professor!! Your two phone trick was my first video of yours and this 20 points video is my second video of yours...Now Subscribed!! I'm an UberX/UberPOOL driver in Chicago. And you are right, even on some days when the motivation isn't there, still go out and drive (you don't want to lose money sitting on your ars watching tv and getting fat when you could be sitting in a car and making money). One Sunday at midnight it felt kinda late, but I ended up coming home with a little over $100. And yes even though I didn't feel like driving that night, a simple smile hello/good-bye and rider courtesy still maintained my ratings and earnings. So yes laziness, sorry excuses, and false anxieties, will cause a driver to lose money! I drive longer now, now that I have a seat cushion (more time on the road means more money). That in itself is a guarantee that you will make more money..A God damn seat cushion was all it took.. How embarrassing, but yeah banking in more money than ever now. Thank You for being our rideshare mentor. You have a heart of gold!! -Art Chotipradit Uber Driver Chicago

Awesome My friend ! I started with a 2007 BMW 550 ( still have it ) , and I quickly realized the business aspects of doing ridesharing. So I got myself 2009 Mercedes Benz GL450 black and boom , my income is up ( heavy XL demand on weekend) , my tips are up and yes my ratings keep going up each week . 4.93 as of today. Thank you sir............

Zack is uberxl busy like uberX?
@ZackBite7 жыл бұрын
Fabian Jaime The straight answer to your question is NO . And that is because Uber XL is only for the extra space. ( family , business groups with couple of luggages, and mostly college students going out to party on weekends ) With that being said, 4 to 5 XL jobs depending on the distance can earn you well over $200 in a given day . And I must also add that every market is different. So you might want to study your market before making that investment. Here in my Boston market , UBER is allowed to pick up at the Airport and since then demand for ride is all time high , and demand for XL has also gone up. I hope this help !

In short time you've become my favorite ride share specialist here on KZbin. You and I think a lot a like. I just wish I was a bit younger to think as big as you. I'm currently jumping through the hoops to secure a ride share driving position in Las Vegas. Two roadblocks right now are: securing a birth certificate so I can acquire a Nevada driver's license (you wouldn't believe the hassle!); AND procuring a car as my 2005 Ford Taurus doesn't qualify. My best friend in San Diego is willing to help, but I sometimes wonder if I should consider southern California as a better option? Thank you for all your contributions. I'd absolutely love to meet you some day soon or at least talk!

I am a fairly new driver. I find a lot of people take uberPOOL, but only pick it because it's cheaper. To the comment about uberPool ratings going down. I think not all riders understand how pool works. I've had people asking me why it's taking too long to arrive at their destination. Uber should explain to riders that they are dropped off in the order they are picked up. Great list of 20 proven ways to make more money with uber and lyft.

@@AskTorsten -- Hi Torsten, The part you said about UberX pax DO TIP, is ABSOLUTELY true !! If you give the pax a reason to place value on WHY they should tip you [opening their doors, immaculate clean car, greeting them at their door and opening an umbrella for them on rainy days. . . yes I do it even for men, offering amenities, pleasant conversation, S M I L I N G !!!!!! :D :D and GREETING/WELCOMING them. . . THIS IS SOOOOOOO IMPORTANT (not shouting, just emphasizing). On more than one occasion, I've been tipped in excess of 50% on a ride. *****IE I had a pax that got into my car and apologize to me for the short trip. It was about 1 mile. She had groceries. I replied "Please Stephanie, you don't have to apologize. I drive for 1 mile or 100 miles. And please have a water or a chocolate on the way" ....Stephanie replied "but it's only a short trip"....I replied "Stephanie, c'mon okay, you're just as important to me as an airport trip. . . take one ***SMILING***" She was blown away and accepted. After she got out she was smiling from ear to ear when I brought her groceries to her apartment building front entrance. . . . 5 minutes later I check the daily trips in my app for that trip, and what I saw blew me away. The trip was about $3.85. . . she gave me a $4.00 TIP !!!!!! Stephanie tipped me MORE than the cost of the ride itself !!! ****Yesterday I picked up a gentleman at a nice hotel for a long trip [bout 25 miles] to the airport. He was from Virginia here in Ottawa Canada on business. Had a great chat. He was blown away at all the amenities I had to offer. My car was SUPER CLEAN inside. We were headed to airport during rush hour traffic so I offered an alt route to avoid going the suggested route. When he said "You're the boss Mike, I trust your judgment. I leave it up to you" I knew I had Bruce's trust. That's a high compliment coming from an executive. At the end of the trip, I popped the trunk, opened his door, got his carryon bag from the trunk and pulled out the tote handle for him. We exchanged goodbyes and I gently reminded him if he had a good trip, to please leave a rating and comment, to which he replied "Way ahead of you Mike, and I also left something for you as well. Take care and Have a great weekend and THANK YOU". . . . and off he went. After I was able to pull over to the side, I pulled up his trip details and what I saw blew me away Torsten. . . The trip was $26.51 . . . . and he gave me a $10.01 tip !!! That amounts to a 38% tip. That's an amazing tip when you consider the standard tip here is 10-15% of the fare. His comment he left in my BIO was awesome as well. Check it out; "Excellent discussion and amazing ride. Has every convenience known" Torsten you have yourself a loyal subscriber here from now on. You don't bVLL$h!T, and you are always happy to help anyone, even strangers. YOU DA M A N !!!!! Sincerely, Mike oh, you can IG me @UBRCANUCK if you want to send me a follow my friend. You mentioned being the closest car in order to get repeat business. UberMan is indicating the Uber has changed its algorithm to match highly rated drivers with highly rated passengers. What are your thoughts about this and if you agree it's accurate that Uber has changed the algorithm, how do you suggest people go about getting repeat business now that your proposed tactic is not guaranteed to work?

if you need the SUV and can use it for weekend work great, but please check in with your local Uber Hub and make sure they allow SUVs as that category is often closed. Hi, Rideshare Professor. Thanks for the tips about eucalyptus. I found it sold out a lot of places, but eventually found some, and now I'll put 3-5 drops on 2 cottonballs and stick one in my left and right vents. Smells fantastic and my riders have expressed their approval and there is a very noticeable change in the vibe combining this with my Celtic/Spa/Meditation music I play softly, creating a relaxed spa like experience for my clients. Customer service and care combined with a clean and uncluttered vehicle have me generating great numbers consistently, and also have riders wanting my number for repeat business while many in my area complain about making half of what I generate on a daily basis. Thanks for your advice, from me and my crew cab truck. Do you have Facebook/email? Would love to connect with you.

Looking to start doing this full- can you give me any advice on living near small towns or big cities. Looking to move in about 6 to 7 months trying to decide where to move to. Omaha Nebraska or Oregon also should I get started in the area I'm at now and how easy is it to transfer

I have a 2015 Buick enclave, is that a good vehicle to start with?

Has anyone driven for Lyft lux or Uber Select? What was your experience? Worth it? Planning on buying a Lincoln MKZ hybrid soon.

so I recently gave a passenger my number to call me because she wanted a ride to LAX later on that day. She asked that I take her to eat something before dropping her off. the ride took 3 hrs and 15min. cost was $96. lyft sent me an email saying the ride was under review. soon after they sent another email saying I abused the system and wasn't going to get paid. sure enough they didn't respond to my reply and didn't pay me ! lyft is wack!

Rideshare Professor After further review with our risk team, we will be unable to honor the payout for the flagged trip in question. Lyft reserves the right to withhold all or a portion of ride fees if it believes that you have attempted to defraud or abuse Lyft or Lyft’s payment systems. Moving forward, any attempt to defraud Lyft or Lyft riders, or in connection with your provision of services, could put your account at risk of deactivation. Erik Salas ask them how you defrauded them. you want an explanation or you will take the matter to court. they owe you the fare.

Rideshare Professor I've sent them 2 different emails for an explanation. The fare amount was deleted from the app. The woman even tipped me $10. Didn't get anything. They haven't responded and it's been 4 days. I will have to look into a small claims court. Thanks for the advice.
