Good video mate! I have one of these lights and have par tested in a 45cm tall tank. I dialed back the intensity to a max of 65% on all colors and still getting about 150 par at the substrate in the foreground. So if your having bad alage I would suggest using about 50 to 60% and thats with co2.

fantastic looking tank Jay! Love the scape and the set-up. that plant looks like bacopa monnieri to my eyes...very easy plant to grow if that is what it indeed is...mine loves growing out of the tank. Seems to prefer light on the brighter side.

Nice tank and scape! I also feed my Bettas the Micro pellets, they seem to do very well on them, as they are smallish and easy to digest. I'm a big fan of them for all of my other fish as well. Thanks for sharing!

Love the setup! When using C02 how do you judge the amount? A certain number of bubbles per second based on water volume?

Would you use lava rock with aquasoil as well? Just don't like the contrast that much as it's all black if that makes sense?

Black lava rock is what I use the most. I absolutely love it. It's the cheapest too. I don't really care much about the contrast as it usually gets overgrown by plants anyways. I have TONS of seriyu stone and rearely use it. Pretty this this is one of the only tanks that I actually used it. 😂
