Very good, simply put, just a shift or flip in attention. The problem is that the silence which is prior to thought is at first not very “interesting” otherwise everyone would have already discovered it! It’s a bit ‘nothing’ really, the world is much more ‘interesting’ until one becomes tired or sees the limits of what it can offer you. It is subtle, colourless and quiet but alive. One has to persevere.

Went for a walk yesterday while inquiring who am i ?? What am i ? Its amazing how the mind starts to slow down , such a deep sense of peace arose ! and it seems to stay even after inquiry !! It is permanent! Thank you sunny ! ( Its like a little piece of this stillness stays with you after each inquiry practice)

Hi Sunny, for the beginners meditation you recommended focusing the attention on either the breath or hands. Could I focus my attention on sounds instead?

As long as you can concentrate without thoughts, sure. But eventually do try coming subtler into sensation

@@selfinquiryschoolOh ok. If I’m focusing on the coming and going of my breath, is it okay if I consciously try to make sure that each breath is deep and long instead of shallow?
