Maybe this exposition lacks the most importante Linux mechanism that ends up explaining all that.. app runs in user space.. rm runs in kernel space maybe ?

Good general introductory course to Android architecture and security model. Needs updating though-xFAT, not FAT is the model used used for file systems. xFAT is a 64-bit file system that’s can hold (I think) an exabyte if content.

This lecture was not very interesting. He just talked about the normal operation of Android, no mention of when things have gone wrong.

They mention that they don't have a book for this mit course in the first lecture. Instead, they assign a paper every lecture. The list of papers is here ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-858-computer-systems-security-fall-2014/readings/
