I am saving this video and the recipes for fall and winter! These look delish!!😋😍 I like all the videos you show. When that lid flew off the Olive Oil, I nearly died laughing! That has happened to me so many times, I make the same face you did and stop and listen to the lid clatter to a halt. 😂🤣 You rock! 😊😉😎 Quick notes, folks! The great chop n’ stir tool is now sold at the Dollar Tree!! I bought 2 the other day and they are only slightly smaller than my original tool. Also, instead of using a potato masher or adding cream to a soup to get a smooth creamy texture, use an immersion blender! They not only purée everything to a smooth consistency, they whip air into the soup to give it a creamy feel in the mouth. And third, I found something at my local Walmart I had never seen before. In the produce Dept they carry Spice World brand ROASTED garlic purée!!! I’ve seen the chopped garlic and stuff from Spice World before but never roasted. It taste FAB!! I got two jars, already used one jar in a week. 😵💫🤗🤤

Excited for soup season after all this heat!! Where might I find a useful conversion chart or video for frozen vs thawed or canned chicken for example? I prefer to use canned chicken when a recipe calls for shredding (arthritis). When to quick release vs when to natural release...etc. Love your recipes, can't wait for more!
@meghoughton5623 жыл бұрын
I would just use the same amount of chicken (or whatever you prefer). As far as quick vs. natural release, I think you are supposed to natural release for meat (supposedly quick release can make it tough). I'm *pretty sure* quick release would be okay for most other things.

I’ve been making a lot of chicken in our instant pot with the McCormick seasonings packets (any of the chicken ones are fine even the farmers market chicken and veggie roast), sun dried tomatoes, olive oil a little water and heavy cream at the end also I use frozen chicken. I just add everything cover the chicken in the seasoning packet sauté each side for 5 mins then pressure cook the rest of the way (still haven’t figured out exactly how long) I think I pressure cook for like 12 minutes. The chicken is always juicy and tender and it’s so good I use riced cauliflower instead of rice and sometimes add broccoli I also just eyeball everything except the olive oil (3tbsp) even the heavy cream. It’s always delicious

Fun fact mushrooms are the only veggies that has vitamin d. Lundberg rice products are grown in California and they regularly check for arsenic, which is the reason I heard you should rinse your rice. I NEVER do. I'm not dead yet and I'm old! Lol! On potatos the b vitamins are near the skin yay! 😊 Thanks for making my life better❣❣❣

FYI mushrooms are a fungi not a veggie and they are higher in vit. C & B6 than vit. D and higher in magnesium & iron. The nutrient they are most high in is potassium.

Ditalini is soup pasta. It's always used in soup where you want pasta except for when acini di pepe is something you feel like using. If you've ever had progress those chickarina soup the ina part comes from that because it's known as pastina. Any small pasta can be Pasadena but when I was growing up that was the only pastina there was.
