I've got a polka dot plant and it is one of my favorites. It's pink and green and very sassy. Set it outside and it likes it for a while but leaves get crinkled. Fades a bit to more green in New leaves if not enough water. Does get leggy fast so u should pinchk back soon as u notice that and just stay on it weekly or even bi weekly u should be good. Also I tried putting mine in a differe different pot and had to do it again because it stays more compact I'm smaller pots.

The common name for the trandsecantia you thought was the rhoeo tricolor, is callisia repens 'bianca'. 🙂 It was one of my very first houseplants before I knew a single thing about how to care for plants, so of course it's dead now. 😅 Also yes callisia repens are under the trandsecantia family 99% sure

Tradescandias don’t get leggy if you put them in higher sun. I have mine in full sun for a couple of hours a day and it grows super compact

I relate so much with the aglaonema comment lol. I thought they were beautiful in pictures, but then when I saw one of the ones I really liked in person, I was just like "huh.. eh, I don't need it" not really sure what I'm not crazy about with them though.

Chia seeds or aloe vera are good for smooth hair. A lot of walmarts sell chia seeds in the baking aisles and lots of Spanish grocery stories sell big aloe leaves. Soak chia seeds in water and they get gelatinous but for aloe you can literally just cut away the green parts and squish it into your hair. Put your hair up in a ponytail and add enough of the product that all of the hair is evenly coated, wait a half hour and rinse it out. Do that for a week solid. I live in florida and I do this in the summer to keep my hair smooth. Shower caps and du-rags help too but they'll make you feel ghetto-fabulous *z-snap*. Putting it in a ponytail will help because the product will be allllll around the hairs instead of just on the surface. Sorry for the random haircare talk. I'm here for plants I swear lol my favorite pink plants are caladiums and I also thought mine were gone last year. I put snake plants and cacti cuttings in the same pots and now I have caladiums fighting for survival

another after work unwind with Tate! ...even though im late to this video. I am so not fond of the PPP. I think the growth pattern is weird. The VSOH is probably my favorite pink plant. i do think the nerve plant is super pretty in pink but they are too dramatic for me. the pink aglaonemas are super cute.... especially the ones with the pink stems. Btw - Editing Tate is hilarious! Thanks for another great video!

I kinda like how some plants look when they get "leggy" nanouk especially. Seems more wild/ natural looking. And propagation lol I'm giving them to everyone. As for dying plants at the big box stores, I've caught a few good plants just in time. Pilea peperomioides for one, 2 stems, 3 good leaves between them, dry as a bone ( floated when I soaked it). Perked up within an hour of soaking, over ten leaves on each plant in about a month and a half.
@TatesPlants3 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah propagating and sharing is the best!! Yeah I’ve for sure done that too, get them on discount and nurse them back to health!
