@anayaweick7964 hi, I just found my old commemt. I don't have access to that old KZbin account anymore lol. Well, I live in Poland now with my polish wife. Have done since I posted that comment 2 years ago. I am able to go into shops alone if I need to, I can ask for help, I can count without problem in polish, I can tell the time in polish, I can do greetings and goodbyes too. My polish is nearly at A1 level maybe.i can do basic conversation about daily life. I also play call of duty in polish now which helps me a lot. Hopefully you see this comment. Milego dnia =)

Most american comment ever
@kjbrandman4 ай бұрын
@@bloemkoolendestreetgang450 how so?
@bloemkoolendestreetgang4504 ай бұрын
@@kjbrandman Americans love to obsess about their “heritage”. Like, they will do a DNA test that says they are 3% Irish because their great great great grandpappy was born in Dublin, then proclaim to the world that they are Irish and start to obsess over being “Irish” and appropriate Irish culture. In reality, Irish people will not see them as Irish at all and just an American (which they clearly are; this is such a widespread thing among Americans!) In this case, this commenter shares that they found out they have some Polish heritage, and then comes here to learn Polish words and presumably “connect to their Polish side”, which is just a very American thing to do. In practice, the average American will give up the effort to learn the language of their heritage after a solid 5 minutes anyways however.

I played this for my boyfriend to try and teach him some of my language. The only thing is when you teach eg. “ładny", don’t then use “ładna" in the sentence, it can get confusing for people. Other than that, very good video, well done,

I only ever knew 2 words in Polish but I was in Poland 🇵🇱 seeing the country my grandparents were born in w/ my mother, aunt, & cousin back in ‘97. I was thrown into the language bc there was only 2 English speaking people with us. There was my cousins BFF & then there was my cousin who live there who spoke a lil from his time in the Polish Army. This for me was the perfect way to learn. But if you don’t use it you lose it. I can only remember 2 words I learned. Ukraine 🇺🇦 is now under attack (2.25.22) and my son who is an American 🇺🇸 soldier will be sent to Poland 🇵🇱 soon.

It's a very nice set if you're about to arrive in Poland, and you want to memorise something before, for example, getting on a train in Poland. I can imagine that with a bit of creativity, the use of body language and gestures (and perhaps extraverted personality), you could learn another 20-30 expression by the time the journey has ended. 🙂
