Strange -- adding 1 to 6 starting at 1 seemed tough, so I switched to starting with 6 and it was a lot easier. Specifically: 1 + 2 = 3; 3 + 3 = 6; 6 + 4 = 10; 10 + 5 = 15; 15 + 6 = 21 is harder than 6 + 5 = 11; 11 + 4 = 15; 15 + 3 = 18; 18 + 2 = 20; 20 + 1 = 21 I think it's because, starting at the low numbers, everything is of similar size and the 3 repeats, so it's harder to keep track of where you are.

If you want an even easier way add the first and last number and multiply by half the amount of numbers. Ex. (6+1)*3
