Back in 98, when I was a kid, both my dad and I did attempt to take Ingo's horse. What we found is 1) Ingo's horse cannot build up enough speed to jump the taller fence in the pasture. 2) While riding Ingo's horse we were able to trigger the race with Ingo(though it took slightly longer and we had to pay to ride more times) and we could win the first race but the second race we would always lose. I have no proof but I suspect the second race is coded to always have the player lose if they are not riding Epona.

In Ocarina of Time, you can get to the Forest Temple without dealing with any Moblins. There is a Hookshot Scarecrow at the beginning of the Sacred Forest Meadow labyrinth that you can use to bypass the entire maze and not have to deal with any of the Goblins except the big one with the club at the end, which you can just squeeze past to the side without fighting if you wanted to.

He lit the fire too late in a file. You can only bottle the Nasty Soup if you light the fire under the pot during the part of the tutorial where you're chasing after Talo. If you do it then, the cutscene he noticed is longer with the guy thanking you for lighting the fire and offering you to scoop from his soup pot if you have an empty bottle. Lighting the fire is meant to be a tutorial for using the lantern, the guy even suggests you try lighting the fire with the lantern after he gives it to you, in a very video game tutorial-y way.

More of a fun 3DS only bug, but if you get any horse and start the race just let him run ahead, once he deloads you can win both races without racing as you run the empty track it will count, so by the end any horse becomes Epona.

in the windwaker's windfall island there's a group of 4 kids, in the original GC version you can push these kids down that one path leading down to the salesman, if you push them just the right way down there they will clip out of bounds, if you manage to clip the boss out of bounds all 3 of his friends will follow him otherwise they'll fall down 1 by 1, it's a really fun glitch since if you talk to the boss or any other member while there are out of bounds members the camera will not know how to handle the situation anymore also playing the sun/night song infront of the salesman's shop somehow makes the game play the ocean theme if you go from night to day for majora's mask there's also Romani's return from the aliens at the dusk/night of day 2 she will spawn in a grass patch close to the house and walk around there... but if you interact with her you'll notice her empty gaze and her only dialogue is "..." but it's an obscure detail which is kind of cool yet eerie and shows how much the devs actually cared about details

1. You can use the hookshot in OOT to stun both redead and Likelikes to be able to handle these enemies easily 2. Also in OOT you can use Naryu's love to keep the redead from latching on to you the likelikes can't eat you either with it on and the floor masters can't attach to you either after you split it into 3 3. If you use the megaton hammer on the business scrubs they will all pop out instantly without the need to use your shield 4. In Majora's Mask you can bounce the magic shot at you from the mini boss wizrobe with the mirror shield. 5. In Majora's Mask if you have the Goron mask bombs and the hook shot and bomb jump over into ocean area and clear that spider house you actually get the adult wallet before the giant wallet and then when you give 200 rupees to the bank teller you get the giant wallet I have footage of this last one I will upload to my channel

1. If you don't have the hookshot against the Like Likes, you can use a brave crouch stab. It gets past the monster's defense that our sword can't. It's even better if you use the Biggoron Sword for safe distance and hitkill. 2. The magic works against the Wallmasters too and the Dead Hand! In MQ it's useful if you want to get through the room and puzzles without distractions 3. I see a lot of people switching shields in both eras but the Deku Nut ftw! 4. how? 😀 kokiri sword? Bootle? 5. So Captain's Hat and Bow are only good for the Heart Piece in the puzzle in the wall mask room? Cool (I suppose the burning Deku Sticks will take care of the rest of the spider webs)

"There's a grotto here" is really stretching the criteria of a myth. Seems desperate for content. Anybody who plays randomizer max settings knows it's there. Ingo's horse is much slower than Epona actually. And I think the commenter meant can you STEAL the horse or even beat Ingo with it to keep it. If you use cheats to do so, you'll just be riding Epona after beating Ingo in the race, so no, that myth is a huge bust.

There's a known glitch on the Internet for years on OOT, did you know that on the N64 version, you can go to Zora's domain as an adult and then go to the right side of King zora, the corner there, walk into it then jump slash it with the sword continually. You can break through it after several times then you're on the other side. You can run blindly around in the dark and toward the waterfall (rupee game area) then fall under the ice pond that way

Random idea: In BOTW's Hyrule Castle, there's a chest holding a Naydra's Scale. I always wondered if you can use the scale from the chest to bypass cleaning Naydra on Mt Lanayru (since you normally have to do that to unlock the shrine).

A recent mechanic I discovered was the specific details for fairies to come out of Sheikah stones in OOT. For example, you can only try to pull one of them with a song per loaded scenario. But if by chance, you put the Ocarina in your mouth and cancel the song or don't even play a note, no fairy will come out afterwards. Until you reload the scenario again. Also, all songs with a gray icon will work, except Saria's Song. The best song because it's a few frames faster is the Sun's song (although I always love the Song of Storms) but in some scenarios the Sun's song can reload the screen and mess up your adventure. Even though these are rare situations. Playing Saria's song doesn't work to pull the fairy out... but it can be helpful if you forget the notes of the other songs, because it's also the only one that doesn't mess up the spawn after being played. Yes, Saria will always be your friend... Even warp songs and scarecrow's song will interfere with the appearance of a fairy until you reload the scenario again. Finally, you can extract 1 fairy from 1 stone from any angle near it. You can use your ocarina as many times as you want away from the Sheikah stones. But once you use the Ocarina near the stone, all the previous information will occur. I hope this helps those who, like me, had doubts about why fairies appear to certain people and not others..😅

Fun Fact! Fierce Deity Link in Majora's Mask is the same height as Hero's Spirit Link in Twilight Princess. Either Link hit one _Hell_ of a growth spurt in his late teens, or he died as Fierce Deity Link. Which means that he may have been killed by the Hyrule Knights, mistaking him as a new enemy.

Yes, I have tried to get soup from the Lantern Oil Guy. Yes it works. It might depend on the Version of the Game you have, that I'm not so sure of. But yes, I got Soup from the Guy. You talk to him and he mentions it and says you can take some. I think it is called Nasty Soup, but more often than not it does hurt you more than heals you and Link DOES show a Face of Disgust when he Drinks it.

Fierce Deity is based on Adult Link from OOT, so that's probably why Gibdos/Redeads work as normal. He's just a larger version of Adult Link with an OP weapon and a redesigned outer skin.

I have been messing around with Ocarina of Time and learned some absolutely INSANE things about Iron Knuckle enemies. 1. They can survive and travel underwater 2. They will ALWAYS route to wherever you are on the map regardless of obstacles, and only if you are on a ledge above unreachable can they not get to you. 3. They can somehow identify when they are behind an unbreakable walll Vs a breakable one, and then move around it, if you are on the other side. and 4. they can just, walk up, certain platforms, and enemies, and teleport up ledges (as long as you can climb them they can too). --- I have footage on my channel l(not saying for views but rather as proof I am telling the truth), but you can test this small scale by simply initiating a fight in an Ocarina of Time game or a Majorras Mask game, then run off, putting as many of those pillars and obstacles as possible in your path. OR use an enemy randomizer on your game and find a Knuckle in an open large area or room. A lot to say, but you can use my footage if you want to reference me.

I only used the twirl as a movement option and a knockback one once i had the upgrade from beating level 3 darknut and getting the gerudo dance wear as early as the beginning of the second half of the game. Now you can get the upgrade before the second half of the game but the Gerudo outfit you can not so you can knockback enemies as soon as the map opens up to you. I did not know it can deflect octorock shots honestly. The twirl is the fastest movement option in the game without exploits so it's pretty much what people use it for

There's a ton of alternate dialog in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. It's not very informative but is interesting to see nonetheless. A fair chunk of it is main quest related. For instance, if you bring the blue flame to the research labs before talking to the respective scientists, Purah makes a comment about your memory being ok, and you skip Robbie's examination. There are 3 different cutscenes when meeting Sidon. The intended one is to meet him at the bridge, then trek your way through to the domain following him. A second option is to meet him at the bridge then immediately warp to the domain where he comments on how quickly you followed him. The third option is to NOT meet him at the bridge, go to the domain, and in the throne room he will at first call you an intruder. As you may have guessed, both the latter options require getting there via an alternate route. Beedle will plot to steal your bug if you deny him a trade. There are more examples I can cite, but these are enough. As I said, most are related to what you do when. With the right gear and a good sense of direction, it's even possible to get Mineru as the first sage. Even she will have hidden dialog relating to the Master Sword if you already have it when you find her. If you have both before fighting Phantom Ganon, Purah has some funny dialog after the fight, which was made funnier considering that I spoke with her multiple times while wearing the sword prior to it.

@@drwily My bad. I saw that if you had a weapon/shield with a Hudson Sign fused to it, they had little dialog bubbles over their heads saying "Hi" to Hudson. Despite nobody commenting on the Thunder Helm if you talk to them directly, Gerudo will "mutter"(a speech bubble over their heads) about it if you walk up to them with it equipped, and if you wear the Yiga shirt and pants with the Thunder Helm, it still fools disguised Yiga, but after talking to them, they comment about the Helm to themselves(a speech bubble over their heads).

You didn't actually address the question of stealing Ingo's horse. He was asking if you can escape the ranch with that horse and use it around the field instead of Epona. The answer by the way, is no. Besides the fact that that horse can't run fast enough or jump high enough to clear any of the jumps that trigger the ranch escape, triggering that cutscene puts Link on Epona. Even if you use a cheat device with the Moonjump cheat to hit that loading zone without a horse, the game will give you Epona and treat the Lon Lon Ranch side quest as complete even if you never interacted with Ingo at all. Mmm. Now I'm wondering if the ranch escape loading zone you hit by jumping over the gate Ingo closes to lock you in still exists when the gate is open or removed. Each ranch escape loading zone has a slightly different version of the escape cutscene due to being in different parts of the Field for said cutscene, after all, and you can jump over the two walls most people escape from to see those cutscenes again after saving the Ranch. If I had to guess, that third loading zone probably doesn't exist, as the version of the Ranch where the gate is closed is probably a separate state of the map. It's still interesting to think about though, considering the loading zone for the Carpenters' Tent exists in Young Link's version of Gerudo Valley where the Tent isn't physically there.

In echoes of wisdom you can fly using a wind rock echo, and a flying enemy echo. You have to start on a slope, or somewhere you can fall off. Iirc the flying mushroom echo is the best.

@Dr.Wily The most effective way to take out a Guardian in Breath of The Wild is to reflect its laser back at it with a Shield Parry. One Shot. Every Time. Can be done with any shield, including the Pot Lid. Yes, the shield does take durability damage every time it reflects a laser, so, yes, the Guardian can break the shield with the laser. I don't remember if a shield that breaks will reflect the laser or not. It's been too long since I've played BoTW. Just make sure you're not using a shield that's about to break and it will reflect a Guardian's laser every time hit that Parry. So I guess this makes the Guardian's absolute Weak Point its Laser Eye, but only when it's hit with its own laser. BTW, I stumbled upon that one while trying to get Parry timing down for the shield. I was like, "Surely you can't Parry an Ancient Sheikah Laser with a piece of wood." I tried it and one-shot kill. After that, I made sure to have a disposable shield on me at all times... or, you know, The Hylian Shield since you can just buy a new one once it breaks. Hylian Shield + "cheat" at Snowball Bowling = Infinite Shields. 😁

You’re slightly off. 1 parried laser instantly kills the decayed, flying, and turret guardians. However, I recall it taking 3 to kill a fully functioning walking guardian. However, an ancient arrow to the eye is always an instant kill, regardless of max health.

Even at 3 hits, Shield Parrying is still the most effective way to take out a Guardian outside of Ancient Arrows. And I will maintain that if you take into account investment into the weapon, Shield Parry is the most efficient method of taking down a Guardian, period.

And to your point, you're right about the low cost, since ANY shield ( even a pot lid ) will work the same. Also note, if I remember correctly, a perfect parry nullifies any damage the shield would otherwise suffer. Though I still always preferred the perfect dodge / flurry rush approach, myself.

I thought so too until a Guardian Laser shattered my shield on a Perfect Parry. I even further tested it to make sure the shield still took durability damage on a Perfect Parry and it wasn't just me missing the timing. The shield would shatter with the exact same number of hits every time and I didn't miss a single Perfect Parry. So yeah, Perfect Parry doesn't make the shield impervious to damage.

U know u can be feirce deity anywhere without glitches? U can do this by constantly diving and resurfacing by a shore with zora mask. Then equiping fd mask over zora mask. There is a video of it. Also according to the randomizer ganon is allergic to dogs. (Haven't tested it) it would be interesting to see if any affects happen by bringing a dog.

As most people know, when you attack Cuckoos they eventually get pissed and attack you back and kill you, but little known fact: In Twilight Princess, if you attack a Cuckoo enough, instead of them attacking you, you instead gain control of it for about 10 seconds. I have known about this for a long time, but no one else ever seems to know whenever I tell them. This is in the Gamecube version. I am unsure if it extends to the HD or Wii but I imagine it would to at least the Wii.
