im loving this video, commenting half through, lol. i owned a little (250 cc) motorcycle in florida and every time i went somewhere, even work, i smiled and felt like i was getting on a roller coaster. I totally feel your comments about feeling free with a scooter, it's the best. just ride safe and treat wet pavement like ice. it only takes one slip out of 10,000 stops/turns to ruin a month or two--or worse. I learned that the fear of dying is much less than hitting the pavement at 30 mph. ouch--i did it once. have fun!!!

I think in florida i encountered few curves and little dry dusty days, but you're right. when I rode it "home" up north for a while I was scared as I remembered all the sand in the intersections from winter plowing that lingers all year, and hills were something to get used to. it definitely requires more thinking than driving on 4 tires.

He has 1 over a million and another close to a mil on his story videos. I (we) love his travel video but from making money his livelihood stories did better for him. I think his new channel will be better in the long run. You can not travel on a scooter forever but you can tell stories.

I stayed at Hannah"s last May, same as you just showed up. I paid 1000 pesos per night for three nights. Unfortunately White Beach was closed because a young girl was killed in boat accident just before I arrived so not many people around, that's probably why it was cheaper.

Just curious if you looked at the Honda ADV 160?. It has more fuel capability, bigger storage under the seat too. The suspension and tires work well in streets and backroads, dirt etc..

Hey Scottie, I’m the Philippines about 52% of people speak Tagalog, with about 48% speaking Bisaya. My experience is in the areas you are currently travelling Bisaya is prevalent. People that speak Bisaya do not really understand Tagalog. Just an observation on your comment about learning Tagalog. Be interested if others agree. I like your vlogs very much. I’ll be in Philippines in March/April starting in Manila, then Cebu and lastly Surigao City on Mindanao. From Surigao will visit Cadgiano, a great little village on Dinagat Island. Take care Scottie. At the main drag going from San Juan to Siquijor just before you get to the downtown area you'll see a big parking lot on your left side... it almost looks like a drive-in theater kind of setup.... anyway they have food vendors there in the evenings lots of nights and tons of people go there to eat and shoot the shit. For sure on the weekends, but maybe throughout the week. If you get bored at night you might check it out... families, couples on dates, all sorts of folks -- like a mini festival atmosphere. I may go back there someday. With yeah the same girl. Looks like it’s getting bigger. It’s was 2016-17 not 17-18. Time flys No traffic back then. The bigger store at the port was still being built. They Broke my wife’s bag at the port unloading it. We had a long talk with the powers at be about it. In the end the guy that broke it would have to pay. I said no way would I do that to a guy that makes less than 500php a day. Next thing I know they want us to buy a place there to live. Very nice people there, when you treat them the same goes a long way.

Did you see such places for rent? I know there's holiday places on airbnb and other vacation rental sites, but that comes out very expensive for a more long term rental. Is there any other way to find long term rentals on the island online? Grateful for any ideas/suggestions..
