Hi Guy, An amazing group of people and hearing where there are from and what they enjoyed of the adventure that you both provided for them. I look forward to the next episode. Your friend James

Thank you James. Putting names with faces always helps. We had a great group of people with us. Hope your summer is going well!

Summer is going well, but only 24 days left of it before we head into fall. You getting a lot of snow?

Fabulous adventure. Thanks greatly for sharing. We attempted the route in early June but we faced blizzard conditions and deep mud over the pass so we turned back at Coldfoot Camp. We will certainly try again. Rough roads, hard on our Sprinter 3500 Dually 4x4.
@WingsandWheelsAlaska9 ай бұрын
Very hit or miss. We have done it in early May on motorcycles and we have tried in June where we have countered blizzards. Done in August with fall colors and have also seen blizzards in August.

Do you leave the van winterized during cold weather camping?
@WingsandWheelsAlaska8 ай бұрын
Hi Eric. It depends. We winterize if we expect the weather to drop below 10F. It doesn’t take us long to winterize and de winterize.

I think I know that person with the Navy hat. We were on deployment back in 2004 or so, onboard the BHR, I want to say she was a GSE station at ACU-5.

Thanks for showing the group and hearing the feed back. With 20 vans, I figured there would be close to 40 people, but looks like there are lots of singles. So many lakes up there. Any idea if they have fish?
@WingsandWheelsAlaska9 ай бұрын
The next leg we added a few more vans and we are probably closer to 40 people. Many of the waters up there have Arctic char and trout.

I think that if there are more vans the nature will suffer. If the nature is overcowded we wont get the nature feeling, it will be like being in the suburbs.
@WingsandWheelsAlaska9 ай бұрын
Generally we travel together from location to location. Once we get to camp everyone tends to do their own thing to explore the area. This is for safety if someone breaks down or has an issue we are there to assist.
