Fully agree with the message, that's why a good foundation that's rooted in normal / healthy inter-family relationship is so important, roll models ought to be your parents because they have the biggest influence on your life, sadly, lots of broken families in our country, but the sooner you recognize your wrongs, and the quicker you begin to correct them, the better off you're, life is not a straight line. Good video man, keep up the good work.

All these are spot on. You left one glaring thing out that can is bigger than all of these. Your physical health. I'm not talking about being a cover model on a magazine. I'm just saying keeping a healthy BMI and working your heart and body a few times per week so you have good health markers. Go to the doctor every 6 months. You owe it to yourself and family to be healthy enough to live a long life

Old man's advice to younger people? Dorian let me tell you I am 49 years old and I found your talk very beneficial. It's not that I did not know these things, in fact 37 year-old me had a very similar mindset to yours! We are all human however and we must be aware that just as we can drag ourselves up from the floor and stand tall, we can also very easily fall back down. I needed to hear this advice now and will probably need to hear it again in a month or year in order to put the hammer down again. Here's my old man's advice to the young players listening to this advice for the first time or 100th time: Do yourselves a favor and re-watch this video regularly, at the very least least once a year. Exercise the self awareness needed to judge whether you have kept up with this excellent, life-giving program. That includes even you Dorian!

U know what. I wasted my life until i was about 35. Im now 40 and still not quite their yet but very nearly.... but ive never regretted any of it. It opened my eyes and made me the person i am now and i like this person now. I do wish i was wiser back then but i know any life lived is a worthwhile life. Life itself is precious as long as you live in the moment. All these points in the film are valid and i hope the youth listen because to live well in this society you need your witts and money.... i still dont want to fit in to this matrix so i left it and live in my van.... The best thing ive ever done in my life.... whatever you have done or however you live just know theirs always a way and just take time to know yourself and look after yourself... the rest will fall into place

On the toxic friends: A former friend told me her very smart (her words) cousin majored in computer science and is now making 6 figures. That sounded pretty nice to me considering I was mid-20s and bussing at a diner. Having been good at math and creating things in the past, I told her that I might go back to school for that. She immediately responded "No...my cousin is VERY smart." I started to realize she put me down at every possible corner. She had no problem telling me how smart and capable I am, but when I actually wanted to act on it, she tried to shut it down. Well...guess who's back in school for computer science a couple years after dropping her as a friend. I had to learn the hard way that people aren't keeping me down to protect me or to keep me humble...they're doing it because they're jealous of me. Saying that now even makes me feel bad, but it's the truth. This whole time, I had haters and didn't even realize it.

Debt: I would argue it depends on what the debt is for. Debt can be a good thing, for example if you buy a house because you foresee an inflation. There are times when it is "good" to not have money. Currently I have a very high debt, but the bank gets to get all the inflation while my property rises in worth.
