Hi! I'm Kristie. I live in Southern California with my husband, Noah, and our son, Kody. Cruising is a bucket list item for us and we hope to go on many more in the years to come.
Our first cruise to Alaska was at the top of our list. Traveling by cruise ship is a perfect way to see the sites without having to unpack between destinations. As such, we look forward to more cruises where sightseeing at ports of call is our primary goal.
I am a teacher by profession and once I start learning about something that I am passionate about, I just can't help but want to share about it.

Magnets are a must. Also, I find that the motion detector light works very well. It slides down the wall, but it will stay put if there is a ridge on the wall or just place it on a desk.

Magnets need to also include 75+ magnets too. Sometimes you need two. We use both sizes and the clip. GoToob is the only thing we found that does Not leak for toiletries. Good for TSA too. We ALWAYS bring the hamper, especially on longer trips. We have also learned to use the laundry service about 5 days in. We are worth it. 🥂 Night light we have learned to use in the bathroom is one of the candles we put in the window during Christmas. Amazon sells them in a pack of four. A AA battery last for about 30 days, we carry extra batteries. We turn it on in the evening and we turn it off in the morning. flickers and doesn’t wake up anybody else in the cabin although you can just have it a straight light light. It’s easy to pack. It’s an expensive in case we leave it behind, and after several cruises, river cruises, and hotel stays, we have really enjoyed the candlelight. We have a small rechargeable, USB fan. The handle folds under the fan to give it a place to rest when it’s on the nightstand. I pack it in the airplane bag for long-haul flights, just in case the husband needs air. He sleeps with a fan and he enjoys That fan on his nightstand although he thought it was an extravagant purchase. We bought it on one cruise when we booked an inside cabin. Now, I carry it in our carry-on for all of our traveling. FYI: Norwegian banned fans for a brief period of time. We do carry a few clothespins we carry big towel bands for the towels, etc. they take less room and people don’t steal them. We carry a few ziplock bags.

The plug thing is not spaced far enough apart. We use a brick that has a short cord. It’s more practice. AND we bring same type of European plug. That way, we have more plug capacity.

Curious why you would pack shampoo when the cruise lines supply that. Yes, you do need conditioner, though. That is not supplied (except Virgin Voyages does supply). Also, most cruise lines will loan you a fan if you request it from your cabin steward.

Thanks for being curious and watching. I bring my own shampoo and conditioner because I am picky about my hair products. You are right though. The shop we were on (Holland America) had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. And, liquid hand soap and lotion. And they did bring a fan upon request. I can pack a bit lighter next time. 😀

Instead of liquids, buy shampoo and conditioner bars, toothpaste bites and bath soap bars. No liquid spills. You only need the hook magnets they can be used for everything,
