Thank you for an insight into 90s two hit wonders. I'm guessing Sugababes version of 'Freak Like Me' is more famous than the original. Curtis Stigers - I actually like both hits. A bit of a slightly jazzy version of Michael Bolton. My Mum liked both of his songs. Inner Circle did have a few minor hits as mentioned, all of those songs charted here in the UK. 'Jessie' was a hit in 1995 here. Decent ballad. Sad about Melanie Thornton. Marky Mark.....he became an actor. I really like both Paula Cole songs - both are underrated. Robin S - technically the same song. Scatman John...at least before he died he had the chance to make songs and show off his talents. Ugly Kid Joe, I always remember the sex doll in 'Everything About You' video oddly enough 😂.

The first half of the 1990s was dominated by the alternative music scene from Seattle and Manchester. New genres such as grunge, shoegaze, baggy, Britpop, etc. But radio stations were still sticking to their "safe" music styles such as dance music, pop singers, and hard rock.

When I was in high school, we won some recycling contest for the school district. Our reward was Blaque came to our school for a concert. We were all led out to the football stadium and sat in the bleachers. Their dancers had their clothes falling off of them, inappropriate for a high school audience. No one cared about the concert. Also, as was popular during that time, someone had called a b-o-m-b threat into the school. So that is my memory.

Crystal Waters aint no two hit wonder she has a great catalog.

I’m sure a lot of artists have great catalogs but having great catalogs doesn’t necessarily mean hit records. She legitimately has two hit records in the US and that’s all therefore she qualifies for this list. You guys get weird with these one/two hit wonder lists. It’s like you don’t understand what’s being defined here. You seem to think having good songs immediately means having multiple hit records. Like Jimi Hendrix is one hit wonder but that guy has like 50 or 60 amazing songs.

Until I came here, I hadn't heard Robin S.'s "Luv 4 Luv" since the mid-'90s. As for "Show Me Love," Beyoncé sampled it in her US No. 1 hit "BREAK MY SOUL."

When I saw Effiel65 appear in the video, I was like "I have no recollection of there being another" Effiel65 hit.... then the second song hit and I immediately remembered it, just not that it was E65.

I wanna thank Adina Howard. I was a freshman in high school….that freak song had my female classmates using their behinds on me like a bear using a tree to scratch its back. Didn’t know way later on in life this would be called “twerkin’”.

Just look at the list how different 80 90s charts were the band's the solo artists it was had so much variety unlike the crap now or over the last decade. I would love to go back music was so dam good and the radio was always on in my house from the UK here. It was on every day and especially on Sundays for the top 40

I'm from Germany. I know that La Bouche had more than 2 hits in Europe, that's why I mentioned that in the video. Scatman John however only had these two hits as far as I remember.
