1:28 The Variant that was shown in this video was ZZ-a. ZZ OP (formely ZZ) has just OCLL (Orientation of the corners of the last layer) and PLL. Another ZZ Last layer approach is to solve the corners in 1 alg (Coll) and just do EPLL (Edge permutation of the last layer). Also, EO-Line isn't only the first step. It can be EO-Cross.

I only knew 6 methods. But this vid showed me that there are more methods. Damn, i didn't expect it to be this much
@tungcaoviet58614 жыл бұрын
Actually CFOP has more than 100 algs because f2l cases also count as alg And you don't need to learn >400 algs (Zbll) for zz, you can just do Oll+pll or use Coll+Epll

If you think f2l cases count as algs, you're doing something wrong
@eduardoxenofonte40042 жыл бұрын
F2L doesn't count imo, you learn most cases intuitively and only few require actual memorization

I somehow tried to solve the cube with my invented method (Cross on all faces), inspired by Michelle on her 3x3 sub 1 challenge. You put the edges on their correct position and solve all the corners (I use the niklas alg and beginner method). Its just some kinda funny method since I dont rlly use it to speedrun
@DiamondCuber9944 Жыл бұрын
2RCM solves 2 rings on the top and bottom, solves the centers, and solve the layer in between the 2 rings.

My method DXFOP starts with 2x2x2 into double xcross then last 2 pairs then last layer oll pll and is a fast method

Isn't that just petrus block + 1e? Also why not just plan a double xcross or full block (granted i suck a roux fb planning but still doable)

I love Heise method. Because it makes me think. I solve the cube instead of applying a bunch of rehearsed moves that I don't understand. Small detail: I am a mathematician. This means that I am biased towards anything that mentioned algebra. This method is not the best in terms of speed. It actually quite slow. But it is universal, as it can be applied to any rubik's style puzzle without any modifications. This does not mean that you should love it too. Not at all. It is a method for people who like math, algebra, and who just want to be able to solve the puzzle without memorizing any of the algorithms and to whom the speed is not an objective at all. The method is also good for generating solutions with small average number of moves. but it is nowhere near the god's number.
