love that last line... "but that last two hours was actually fun"... said with apparent honesty (and obvious pain) as he limps over and finds the strength required to fist bump Thomas Dekker. Great riding/reporting from JB. A classy veteran shows how to do it, then after crossing the line sum it up with a candid and comprehensive report when the tank is truly empty.

Honestly electronic is good now and does not deteriorate, with cables there is mud and grit making shifting harder

Perspective is crazy. 12h a week is really good for riders with full time jobs. And like myself they’d be over the moon to finish in that time. Well done JB. I crashed out at the 40mile mark. (The crash that may have slowed ya down) and had to pull out with injury. Next time. 🤞

hang in there buddy! hope you have a solid physio to program you some solid s&c with spesific control exercises to get that knee going again, those acl's tend to repair themselves some times (studies back this up) and also good exercise program can teach rest of the knee to take the burden of acl function.. and even if you go trough acl reconstruction surgery later on those exercises will help you recover much faster...
