How to make sweaters less itchy: - Turn the itchy sweater inside out - Add cold water to a container - Add a few tablespoons of vinegar to the water - Soak the sweater in vinegar for 15 minutes ~ - While the sweater is still wet, massage hair conditioner into the material and rinse.

As an American I can say that with all of the things I watch and listen to that I say many words more way than one. I say both “ad-ver-TISE-ments” and “ad-VER-tis-ments”. I love so many accents, and any American that says anything should be pronounced a certain way are ignorant dolts. You might try soaking the sweater in 1 quart of water and 1/2 cup of table salt for three days. This softens t- shirts. So it might work on the sweater.

Think the vinegar and conditioner combo only works with natural fibers. Hot, almost boiling water helps soften synthetic hair so maybe that would help for a sweater made out of similar materials?

I searched online on how to soften sweaters and this is what I found (hope it helps AND works ☺️): Fill the basin or bucket halfway with lukewarm water and mix in two to three tablespoons of quality conditioner. Submerge the wool for at least 30 minutes. Rinse the sweater thoroughly and once clean, lay onto a clean towel and roll up, pressing out any excess water. Because I REALLY want you to keep it 🥺🥺
