On my 2003 Tahoe neither locking or unlocking works with the Keyfob but the horn sounds as if it works. But locking and unlocking works fine manually from the doors module. Any ideas what it could be ?

I have a weird issue. I replaced the master switch module in the driver's door because one of the plastic switches broke off. It otherwise worked fine. Ever since, the door locks act strangely, but only when the temperature is above around 85 degrees outside. And here in Florida, that's most of the time. The master switch won't operate the locks, and sometimes the windows act wonky too. And then, when I park the vehicle & turn it off, it resets in about 17 seconds. I've replaced the master switch module again, and the problem remains unchanged. Any ideas?

Okay so my 2000 gmc yukon denali has a way smaller/different fuse box at the dash on the driver side. I found that the relays are actually bolted to the floor board above the brake pedal. My (brand newly replaced) door swtich will only lock and not unlock my doors. I swtiched the two relays and it does the same thing!! Anything helps. It's almost impossible to find anything on this 2000 gmc yukon. It's either the 1999 model or the newer 2001 models why does the 2000 denali seem to be a unicorn??

I have a 99 Silverado 1500 and it's locking but I can't hear the unlock anymore when I unlock it from key fob 😞. thing is it doesn't lock really so when I open the door the security light comes on and truck won't start..it does it from time to time.sometimes it stsrt right away. I’m having similar issues. I changed my oil pressure sensor, so I had to disconnected my negative terminal on my battery but when I reconnected my battery terminal my doors won’t lock or unlock with my remote. My alarm still works but it seems like the door actuators are not synced with the remote.🤷🏻‍♂️

Quick question for you. I had an issue, long story short i've gotten the truck to where i'll get all signals, except the lock function for the passenger door - unlock works fine. I tried swapping the relays (I have all 3), tested the solenoid (functions in lock, just not when hooked up to the harness), all fuses are good. Any idea what else this could be? Does the big L DOOR connector going into the fuse box there have a relay behind it, or does it just distribute to the panel there?

Great video, very informative, thanks!, my problem is, only one door ( driver's side ) will not lock or unlock with the remote, or the switch, all other doors work correctly, I replaced the actuator, but it still does not work, all fuses & relays check out, wiring/connectors look good and intact, the old actuator was bond up, could not use key or slide inside to operate locking mechanism, door would not lock, new actuator in place, I can use the key to lock/unlock door now but still does not work with remote or switch, any ideas? Did you figure it out ? My 05 suburban has a FOB. For about 2 years now I noticed that my battery goes dead and I think the problem I was told is in the actual door switch. It's a very slow drain after about 25 hours my battery is low. I wish there was an easy disconnect fuse that I could just pull to disconnect the power to that switch.

Just bought a z71 2004 Tahoe and when I insert the key to unlock the door, the alarm goes off. I have to turn on the engine for it to turn off. Is there a fuse I can pull out to stop this from happening?

Thank you for all the information. This might be a longshot but I installed a new battery on my 2001 GMC sierra last night. After installing the battery, the three amp fuse inside the truck kept blowing. I can’t get the truck to lock or unlock with either door or the aftermarket remote start fob or the OEM key fob. From what I understand replacing the battery should not affect any of these fuses or relays. I can hear the door switch is operating and the relay is clicking, but no action at the door locks their selves. Any advice on where to begin?

Having an issue with my 06 Tahoe where my truck will only lock and unlock with the clicker if I either insert the key and unlock it in the door or I can press the unlock button on the door (with the window down while testing to see the issue ). What’s weirder is if I press the unlock button with the window down it doesn’t unlock the truck, it just allowed me to use the clicker to unlock it. Lmk if someone can help or has an idea of where to start. it’s driving me crazy lol

2003 Chevy Tahoe, only the front drivers and passenger doors lock and unlock with the key fob and the inside drivers lock and unlock button. Both rear passenger doors and hatch glass and hatch itself don't lock with either the fobs or inside drivers door button. Any ideas?

Thanks for the video. I have a 2005 Yukon slt that I’m not able to get the fobs programmed. I checked the vin and it DOES have it. I’m thinking maybe the keyless entry module is bad. @@nloya I have returned with great news. I bought the Haynes repair manual it says the receiver is in the passenger door window module. After seeing the schematic I wanted to be sure so I went outside and took my door panel off and then popped the module out. After taking the module apart I saw the antenna which confirmed what the manual said. Send me your email address and I can send you the schematic.

Ok so check all the fuses even if you can use the keyless entry because it’s only the buttons on the inside that’s not working

How about when I'm not able to lock or unlock through the key fob and on the door panel. All four do not work, fuses look good, when I try to unlock i hear the relay click but nothing on the lock. I'm guessing a bad relay?

@@alexisrios9994 yes. I did everything I could on my end and threw in the towel into the dealership. It was my aftermarket alarm that had a failing computer or message to unlock the door the whole time..the place that installed the alarm did good and replaced the whole unit. The BCM was checked, the wiring was good, the door control module were good, just a defective aftermarket alarm. I got the aftermarket alarm after an attempted break in.

@@alexisrios9994 yes Silverados are number 2 on the most stolen list from what I've heard. I took it Mexico this past December, has 2 attempted break-ins but ran off because the alarm. One guy got caught in front of the police station. 6.0 Chevy 1500 HD - Love driving once in a while. Did okay on the 3000 mile drive - But could have done better. Clogged catalytic converter didn't became well known till like 800 miles into the trip(Mexico) - Sucked, all good now with new cats.

Thankx Why would GM do this I've been looking for a month now for this. I have a 05 Yukon and I have pulled all the door lock relays and fuses and they are not turning off the power to the door locks everything works normal including the key fob. Followup: 3 months later still can't find the fuse or relay that controls the power to the door locks. I pulled all of the door lock relays and fuses inside on the fuse block. They still work and everything works. I don't even know what they're for. The diagram isn't even correct. I have an 05 Yukon and the owners manual is incorrect.

@@dracozi1720 I ended up just buying a new switch panel off ebay. Paid $15 for it from autodayplus. I've had it in since September and it is still working great. The backlight for the buttons aren't quite as bright as OEM but for $15 I'm happy.
