I was able to use this video to get past the final obstacles on my 2001 Ford Expedition. Cutting the end of the bladder did the trick. I did not have to remove the metal bracket on the left. I was able to rotate the black piece instead of pulling it out and up to clear enough room to get to the actuator. At that point it was easy out and easy in. Thanks for posting this. It was a great help.

Thanks! My F150 Supercrew is more like an Explorer apparently. The F150! videos didn't have the console ducting, and cutting works for me. Knife or oscillating blade? Thank you again!

do you have a 2nd video showing you actually removing that bottom vent assembly? There is another vent tube coming down from the dash into that bottom vent assembly, it's after the 'vacuum' thing you noted before it. How do you get that second bigger tube out of the bottom vent assmebly to remove it? I have a 2000 eddie bauer trying to get at that f***in actuator and I am stuck there. I can't get the bottom unti out w/o breaking something.

It's late where I'm at, work has been hellish, I don't have that truck anymore but know a ton about it. Let me try and get back to you in a day or 2.

I just watched my video again.... I think the piece you are talking about pulls down slightly with a rotational pull out / towards you. It should have some ( by now ) delapitated foam that at one time sealed the 2 pieces where they male to female

@@273buriedshadows Thanks for the tidbit. I had to get it put back together and did what I had to do. I wound up cutting the actuator pin a little shorter so it would clear the overhead. I couldn't get the vent assy out. It worked, everything is out back together, but now I am not sure that was the lack of heat issue.

where is the "floor console" actuator? I believe there are 3 total, I know where the rear one is. also, I may have plugged heater core, vehicle sat for a few yrs before coming back into service.
@273buriedshadows3 жыл бұрын
@@brianm7867 mine didn't have a separate actuator for the floor, it is selected from the dash and sent through that bladder that splits off left and right

And why are you replacing it what does it fix what was the original problem I guess is my question

All 97-02 Expedition and Navigators should be the same in this manner. All 99-02s are the same, 97-98 uses a slightly different electrical system but works the same way. I make fuse box labels for both
