1999 Ford F150: I started getting heat but no A/C. The mechanic fixed the A/C and replaced the Schraeder valve. But months later I couldn't get any heat. I took it to a second mechanic who said I had a broken blend door, which he replaced as well as the blend door motor. That fixed the problem. But then, months later I couldn't get A/C. Of course, I should have checked that the HVAC was working, but I didn't. As well, this is my second vehicle that I don't use frequently, so I let it go for a while. Coincidentally, my auxiliary power source and radio had not been operating. I thought that the problem would likely be some electrical problem. I resolved to take it to the shop and have it fixed ... when I got time to do that. My next door neighbor who is more mechanically inclined than me offered to look at it. To my surprise (and despite my skepticism) he fixed the problem. He told me he found something on the internet (like your video) and gave it a try. A bonus is that my radio started working. And I have no idea why. If you don't know by now, I'm an idiot when it comes to mechanical things. People like you who publish informative videos like this are wonderful! Thank you,

What's weird is that my radio stopped working the same time the blend door actuator stopped working.

I gave up buying Ford back in the 60's when I came to realize I couldn't afford a Ford which began with C4 automatic transmissions, alternators, starters and a parts list long enough to make a mechanic beg for help.

You may be an idiot, but you're an idiot with good grammar and typed out the description very well 😅. Actually, bud, you're no idiot. Not every trade is for every man/woman. That's why we have youtube so we can attempt this sort of thing. Idk how true this fuse thing is resetting the blend door actuator is but.. i have had no clue that it's an actual thing. Makes sense in theory, so I'm going to try it. Wish me luck!😅

On my 2014 f150 the fuse is labeled climate control and it is inside the cab, not under the hood. It is fuse number 46 Edit- it may work for some problems but it didn't work for me.

lord jesus people the hvac fuses are the fuses that are for the heat, ac, etc so look at your manual and see which number it is. mine(2016 ford explorer) was a yellow one 15 i think. it was under the hood like he said and the other inside my car

If you can try various types with different type beans, roasts and preparation methods. I usually like a lighter more expensive bean for French press and a darker less blend for espresso.

2013 Ford Raptor driver side stays cold. No heat to driver or defrost. I am suspecting the hot and cold blend door actuator after seeing this. Let me know if its defective. Thank you for a detailed video!

@Wiicho9 ай бұрын
The fuse box for hvac is located at bottom left inside car on the driver side. There’s a cover with a slide. Slide it to uncover the fuse box.
@rh71637 ай бұрын
@@Wiicho Easy to check all fuses in the fuse panel by setting your Volt ohm meter on continuity, touch one side of the fuse with one probe and the other probe on the other side of the fuse. If your meter beeps with an audible sound, the fuse is good, if you can't get it to beep, replace the fuse. Be sure your meter has good batteries before you start by touching the probe together as in shorting them out to see if the meter produces an audible beep response.

there's no hvac fuse (I looked ... forever) - you don't turn the ac on (of course, you can't there's no fuse duh) BUT! He was right about the reset working! My Dad was halfway in taking apart the console when I told him to reset it like the video but what fuse? so he started by unplugging the fuse that powers the climate control Then turned the ignition off Then restarted the truck without the fuse that powered the climate control Let it run for 30 seconds with the fuse still unplugged Shut it off Reinserted the fuse Fired it back up and now have heat!!!! This was for an '01 Lincoln navigator

The blend door actuator can stop AC, video was good, but Mr. Vehicle Freak should speak slower, and use exact wording. He said takeout actuator fuses, start the car and said you do not have to start the car then said turn off the car. Good video, but need to give exact correct information when working on a vehicle.

A bunch of nonsense I already know as a seasoned mechanic. Trying to get to actuator so I can lubricate The gear and stop the clicking noise
@henrywilliams455118 күн бұрын
A seasoned mechanic would know that lubing the gear isn’t going to stop it from clicking. Because if its clicking, one or more teeth on the gear are broken or worn down, allowing the motor to slip.

@rh71637 ай бұрын
Assuming the battery isn't dead or there's an open circuit in which case the fuse may be good, the circuit is bad and the battery won't be able to provide any power assuming it has power to give.
