True story from a dealer who dealt at the Stardust before it was taken down. Sometime in the 80s they were working at the Stardust and some local Urban Outdoorsman walked in who had Apparently won a slot machine with a quarter and had about $500. When he got the dice he basically rolled for around 4 hours. About our three apparently he had a moment in which he was unable to control bodily functions. I am trying to keep this as clean as possible😂. Smelling like a truck-stop that hasn't been serviced in a week everybody at the table didn't want him to stop rolling and because several high rollers who were regulars were there had demanded that he stay at the table they allowed him to keep Rollin. Afterward the dealer said that he lost his lunch having been the stick person and the shooter one to his right , but he didn't mind because he made over $1,000 in tips😂 and that was almost a month's pay for him in the 1980s

If you like this one I have a great Poker Story with a very famous poker player if you ever want to hear it😊 although I will not divulge the name of the player just the story

@@AdamoBaldacchino this story comes from some time in the 90s, a very famous poker player was putting a few back. Each player was playing around $5,000. And one hand a local player hit a one-outer winning a a little over $10,000. This once rising star of Poker decided to strike the dealer over the head with his beer bottle. Partly because she felt sorry for him because he was so drunk and he was always a good Tipper she didn't press charges and for some reason the casino didn't either. I guarantee this would never go down the same today but it's a story from a dealer I will never forget. All names are left out to protect the innocent and the fact it's a second-hand story.

Hey Ben, that hand where you laid down the Aces, reminded me of a fine memory I had in New Orleans a number of years ago. I had cracked this guy's Aces with 10-7 suited (this happened at Harrah's), when I made 7's full of 10's. Fast forward 12 hours to when my then-future wife and I were on a trolley. and this same guy from the poker table gets on the trolley, sees me, and says "You cracked my Aces with Ten-Seven!" I couldn't imagine that he was still thinking about that hand 12 hours later! Anyway, I thought I'd share that with you

Way to limit the damage with Aces TWICE and KQs! Just as valuable to dodge massive bullets as it is to win massive pots. Thanks for sharing your journey, Ben!

Question of the week potential. Heads up, the player in position bets the flop and turn & gets called both times. The river goes check check. Who is required to show 1st ?
@RichardSimmonsForPrez2024
@RichardSimmonsForPrez2024 Жыл бұрын
This is not true, vast majority of rooms only use last aggressor if there was a river bet or a bet/raise allin before the river. If river goes check/check it almost always goes by earliest position showing first.

Played poker at the Peppermill yesterday and today. Played the $2 game. Last night I lost with pocket aces to 73 off suit. Then in the tournament today I opened with 99 to a flop of T94. I cbet 1800, got raised to 4K, then jammed 13k and got called by JT offsuit. Turn Q. River K.

Thank you for another great video Ben. Nice will power not to go broke on either of those aces hands, I feel a lot of poker players would have gone broke on at least one if not both hands. On a side note. Just some food for thought here. If you could choose one of these three wishes, which one would you pick? 1) All three of these teams win another championship in 2024/2025 (Vegas Knights (this season), SF 49ers (this season), and SF Giants (next season) 2) You win the WSOP main event in 2024 3) Run like god for up to 12 hours in a day but for 3 days straight in your cash game. Have a great day.
@Chris-bt3rj
@Chris-bt3rj Жыл бұрын
@@joyride1598 Winning the WSOP main event may have more prestige, but if he knows that all three of his teams are going to win the championship. He would bet a large amount on each team, and then he could win a whole lot more than 12-13 million (depending on odds of course), plus any induvial games he bets on. Also running well at his cash game could mean more to him, but really depends on what is more important to him.

Ben--do you ever feel like when you have wins like the one you had in this Vlog, you just need to grab a Toastada or something to go? That's the kind of win from a session that--in my case--is worth celebrating with something cheap-ish and in your case, the tostadas you go for are definitely alot better than me celebrating such wins by picking up a Whopper from Burger King on the way home. (I do like my Whoppers though.) Hope you manage to go runner-runner on the next Vlog! 👍

Why do you always gloss over 95% of the hands you lose? It’s so annoying, you’re the only major vlogger who does this, you need to go into more detailed HHs of your losing hands. The hand where a player bluffed you off an overpair with top pair sounds like an interesting spot, there’s not reason hands like this should be vaguely mentioned without delving into the specific hand history…
