Has quite a few miles, but no rust, and feels brand new outside of being a lil noisyish on highway. Starts, drives, accelerates. First manual car, and couldn't ask for anything better.

Hey getting one of these as a first car - it’s automatic transmission though. 107k mil. What do you think ?
@DaylyDriverDayly5 жыл бұрын
These cars are great first cars and lots of fun to drive. I personally would get one with the manual transmission. The automatic transmissions in these cars have issues. Not only that, but driving a manual transmission for your first car will make you a more skilled driver
@ThreeNTheMornin8 жыл бұрын
I'm jealous, you have a beautiful accord. Glad it went to an owner who seems like will take care of it instead of an idiot who would put ghetto rims on it
@DaylyDriverDayly8 жыл бұрын
I definitely got lucky with this one. Just put a new clutch kit and flywheel on it, drives perfect. I wanted to get some nice acura or honda 16'' wheels on it but it is hard to find anything like that because the wheels are 4 lug and the wheels I want arent. I'd have to go universal lug but then they aren't nice stock wheels.
@ThreeNTheMornin8 жыл бұрын
The Daily Driver that's awesome, I was gonna suggest the 05 Acura TL rims but then I remembered those were 5 lug too. I have a 2011 Accord V6 coupe but with the automatic transmission. However I'm currently saving up for either a 93 Accord, 96-97 accord, or 98-01 Accord all required to have a manual transmission and be coupes as a project car that I want to restore to factory condition.
@DaylyDriverDayly8 жыл бұрын
Ya i just wish there were more stock wheel options in the four lug pattern. I dont know if you have looked at them, but the 2002 is the last body style in this car. I've been looking for a 2002 honda accord coupe 3.0 v6 6-speed manual black with black leather. I have been unsuccessful so far. I highly suggest this vehicle.
@ThreeNTheMornin8 жыл бұрын
The Daily Driver yeah I know 2002 was the last year and the reason you can't find any V6 manual 6th gen accords is because the V6 only came with the automatic for that generation. You can only get manual for the 4 cylinders, 2003 was the first year of V6 coupes
@DaylyDriverDayly8 жыл бұрын

But it is old of course.
@DaylyDriverDayly6 жыл бұрын
viaexcellence only 2,447 original miles on it? Whattt!! Never heard of a Honda accord this year with that low of miles. That's gotta be the lowest mile accord I've heard of for the year in the country. Sadly, I sold it last year but after I put in a new clutch, tires and brakes the car was perfect and ran perfect. The manual transmissions on these model and year accords are bulletproof. If you go for an automatic, you may run into problems at one point since they are known for having to be rebuilt or replaced. Stay with a manual transmission in this body style Honda and you will be grateful for having such a reliable car

the daily driver thanks. Mine has the 4 banger with vtec (f23a1) and the transmission's held up well so far. I'm pretty sure the transmission issues were mainly on the v6, but I'm swapping in a manual if I ever have trouble with the auto. I'm not really a fan of its shift points and I'd like to be more involved in driving the car. How are the manuals that they came with?
@DaylyDriverDayly7 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I never had any issues with the vehicle other than having to replace the origional clutch and flywheel at 165,000 miles. The gearing ratio was not an issue, the car drove perfect and no issues. From reviews and experience with the automatic and manual, the manual gets better gas mileage and the transmission lasts a lot longer, but I totally agree with you about driving the automatic, its a great car especially in the 4 banger. Have you had any mechanical issues yet?
@cooldd4637 жыл бұрын
the daily driver a fair bit, but it was a police auction car and has 172,000 miles on it, so that's to be expected. I've been using it to learn how to work on cars. I did a bunch of preventative maintenance and have been trying to make it into a solid daily. It's mostly dead reliable, now

Awesome man. The truth is any used car is not perfect and there is much you can do to to make your car a better daily.
