What are the two screws that are on the distributor for the wiring with the little metal bracket is that a ground or power wire

Hi. I replaced my grandmothers distributor as hers went out completely not allowing car to start. now it start but has a chk engine light. i was told u have to aligned the distributor for timing. If so can u make a video on that?. other than that it runs fine with no hesitation or issues.

You may have another issue, if it starts and runs good then you are ok, if it has a miss then you just need to loosen the bolts that hold it on and turn it while the car is on. Just loosen the bolts enough to turn it. If it has a miss fire that is
