Power to weight ratio in this civic is great. The K24 has a nice deep tone for a 4 cylinder. I have this exact engine in my 2012 TSX with 200 thousand miles and it runs perfectly like new.

Unfortunately we 09-14 tsx owners dont have the k24a2 thats swapped into this civic. We have the often hated k24z3, which is closely related to the k24z7. I wish we had a k24a in these cars.

@@Darylrb1983 does the hate come from being less "modifiable" and only having VTEC on the intakes? @@nova9403a while back they did a rear muffler delete on a K24 TSX and just left the resonator. Sounds perfect. Resonator is needed to kill the rasp. If I ever cut the mufflers off my TSX SportWagon, I'm definitely leaving the resonator on.
@howieewalt132211 ай бұрын
At first it didn't sound great but after it warmed up I give it a solid 8/10. Really not sure why people insist on putting the muffler at the end. That's how you get the shiddy kazoo *bzzzz* sound. I had my Civic straight piped then a Magnaflow Magnapack put in where the factory resonator would sit and It's only a smooth tone all the way through 7200 RPM.
@LongIslandMopars11 ай бұрын
Nice. That's what's needed; resonator/muffler up towards the front. Cuts out the rasp.

Definitely should've gone for the bigger Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator, 4cyl need a lot of muffling to not be a raspy fartbox. The Yonaka catback would've been a good choice, it has a long resonator and big muffler, keeps everything tame even with a header and test pipe.
