I own 2000 sienna I traded it in exchange for a 2011 Nissan Rogue It is wild because the Rogue is more refined on every way except drivetrain While the Rogue is quicker The Sienna is happier Is just starts up, drives, accelerates with no complaints Easy to maintain I love my 2000 Sienna

Interesting story, I'll bet a newer Sienna might have all the amenities that you are looking for, maybe someday you could trade the Rogue for a newer Sienna. This particular Sienna that I am working on may not always get the services that it needs but it is very reliable for the guy. He has had it for many years and it just keeps going. Thanks for the comment.

@@petescustomcarshop well the 2000 sienna in question To keep it real Had as of trade 129,000 miles Unusually low And the maintenance issues were very similar to my Rogue at about 160,000 miles But theres some mystery to some things about my Sienna Front suspension is aftermarket therefore a little rough Front passenger ABS wiring harness is shorn therefore needs to be replaced Brakes need to be replaced on front and back Passenger side wiring harness actually needs new loom and a new inner wheel well liner Don’t want to falsely represent anything But as I fix these issues There was a jerkiness developing on my Rogue that doesn’t exist on this 24 year old vehicle It’s so much smoother even with the weird quirks and issues In other words, this 24 year old vehicle is better for the abuse and wear of 3 total owners than my 11 year old rogue with only 2 owners

It would seem that in the past dealers and engineers cared and made vehicles better than they do today. All the newer vehicles seem to develop a lot of issues and complicated ones that may never get resolved.

Thanks for the video. The only criticism I have is your lack of confidence in your ability to do the job that you clearly expressed multiple times during it. Perhaps you should edit it and redo it so you don’t show that to others. It bothered me because it reminds me of my husband and how he hems and haws while fixing something. He’ll say “I don’t think I can do it” and then 90+% of the time he is able to do the job. If your going to post a diy video you should exude confidence.🤷♀️
