I have one from´92 as a hobby car. Absolutely love it. It´s very simple build, hard to steer, not very to good on brakes, not very fast, heater is like constantly on, it smells like fuel :DDDD so much imperfections but still reliable and capable machine. Really more machine then a car. Like your reviews of Russian vehicles like uaz, lada, kamaz.... Thank you

I really want to see a review of an old Lada Niva 1600.

I see this is a 2000 Lada Niva and it is not rusty. Most of the older ones from 1989 etc had reasonably rust problems at around 11 years old in a country that does not even use salt on it's roads. Rust at around 11 years old had become a problem that was too big on our 1989 Lada Niva and why we had to get rid of it. The Lada Niva in this video is a newer one than ours was but is still now 17 years old this year and it seems to have no rust. Has Lada improved their rust treatment or have you been pouring money into getting rust fixed? Having said that I like to give credit where it is due and the Lada Niva has some good things about it like the fact it is one of the world's most capable off road cars. I was watching a BMW 4X4 take on a Lada Niva on an off road challenge and the BMW didn't not come close to performing as well off road as the Lada Niva did. Also even though it is a cheap car ours never broke down and always started. I can see why there is a group of people that love the Lada Niva. It has character but is a car that needs to be understood to appreciate.

06:47 Made in USSR - so this car is built from 10 year old components or just Russian factories put "Made in USSR" badge on their products even after 10+ years of USSR dissolution ? :D
@Magicairsoft97 жыл бұрын
Róbert Marko As far as I know this vehicle has been made for mode than 30 years without any major change. So some badge is the least of problem :-)
