The Oka was even offered as a panel van. It was called СеАЗ-11116-60. [SeAZ]

Nice city car. The upholstery and seat fabrics looks sharp for a city car. You did an awesome walkthrough and have a blessed day!

I love the revolutionary designing for this vehicle. Truely a car ahead of it's time. It shocked the motoring world at the New York Autoshow in 2005

It appears all cars have the wide-opening doors feature. Why do you keep mentioning it?

Plus, I don't think it's 90 degree it's more like 80 or 70.

MrAlgerian38 Actually the body comes from the indian car Maruti, that was imported also in Europe by Suzuki (and was the cheapest car in the nineties), the engine sounds alot like the two cylinders that Fiat used in the lower power Cinquecento (boxy car) built in Poland

Interesting to see in detail such a great example! I believe many of these were built as transport for disabled veterans as well as being a cheap city car. The electric version is supposed to have a range of 100km - I guess it doesn’t need a very strong motor given the standard version is powered by a 2 cylinder motor cycle engine!

that’s crazy how they ended oka production in 2008. this is an 05’ so this one was probably built in azerbaijan since they started the manufacturing around 2003-2004 to 2008

It's funny cause Oka is the name of a town here in Canada that was seized by militants in the 90s. It's freed now but still

MegaRetr, This car is a design that Daihatsu used many years ago. They called it a Mira. Thanks for your video, love watching and learning about the old Eastern Bloc vehicles.
@startube27884 жыл бұрын
this is not a Mira. Many cars may look alike but are not the same. This car is designed by a russian. Is not a rebadged Daihatsu.

I wouldnt recomend you that because the car has the worst safety as the chinese mini rip off. And if you crashed into a bus or a truck or something then the car would become squished like a bug you could say and they wouldnt problably be allowed on the highway or even on the road at all! Except for only in russia

is the VAZ 11113/1111 a license replica of the daihatsu cuore, since both cars look very similar, whom not absolutely the same. and the engines are similar too. in my opinion yes. correct me.
@jimmy13953 жыл бұрын
It's a completely different car. The Oka was powered by a two cylinder VAZ-2108 engine. It does look like the Japanese kei cars from the 80s, but it's mostly Russian.

130 kph for a Inline 2 is not to bad. Gets you from a to be. But a carby in 2005 wow. Well it's basic and gets the job done. Looks like a pain to drive but lol. But 5/10

@@will2993 but this is from 2005 ;)
@will29935 жыл бұрын
@@windoak2113 yeah, in russia. With a manual choke, which is very old fashioned. Most mass market models with a carburetor got an automatic choke by the 1960s. Fuel injected cars don't have chokes.

I remember seeing this car at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2005. It wasn't on the same floor with all the new cars. Instead it was down in the basement of the convention center where all the car accessories where located. I remember the interior smelled awful. Think of the strong smell of nauseous gas emitted when you buy a cheap chinese made plastic product.
